Ok so I was just sitting in traffic, and a car hauler just passed with about eight new 2nd gens on the trailer, waiting to be unloaded at dealers.

Not sure why but I was, suddenly motivated to "catch up" to the trailer just to see if there was an inferno TRD-Pro on the truck, but none.

Every truck was a DC, in either MGM, SSM or Black. All SR5 too, not a single base or OR, or even sport.

Anyway, I feel like I'm always looking for Tacoma's when driving.

You ('re) correct, but who cares. Using iPhone with stupid auto-correct. Get over it.

Another, I'm always looking at Tacoma's in traffic, then kind of get excited when I notice it's manual. My wife is thinking "why is that so special" then I go into how these trucks are one of the few trucks or (vehicles) in general that can still be had with a manual.

I think if you went to a Ford dealer that sells a lot of trucks, you will find more manuals than Toyota produces. That is one of the reasons F150's have the highest sales volume of any truck. They are cheap, base models.

Ford does not currently offer a manual in any truck they currently sell. The manual essentially died in 2011 with the Ranger, but hasn't been available in an F-Series in over a decade.

I think I qualify. But here, in treacherous elements of Southern California, you must have an OR ;)

When you go out of your way and park nowhere near the doors to a building just to park next to another one so you can check it out. My wife calls me a dork every time but I don't care because she's just jealous that no one cares about her POS Nissan Versa haha

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Despite the fact that your truck has less than 1,000 miles and a very reliable engine, you pop the hood daily just to fantasize about tinkering with stuff.

Or your wife finds you laying under it on a regular basis in the garage and your only response is, "Just familiarizing myself with the underside."

I always try to catch up, or give a nod of approval to other Tacoma owners I see in traffic. But are we not one of the biggest D-bag drivers out there, if your not on the trail other 2nd gen owners are kind of D-bag like. It's almost like, if hey didn't drive a Tacoma, they would probably own a A) Dodge Ram "Hemi" B) BMW 3-series or 5 series or C) An Infiniti G35/ G37. When I had both my '88 Porsche Carrera and later a '13 WRX, would get a nod or wave.

With the Porsche, the thing to do was flash your low beam when another would pass. I've given a nod or thumbs up to two other Tacoma's. One guy with a brand new Sport and another a TRD/OR, got the cold shoulder on both. What gives?

Haha nice. When I would go visit family in Cali I almost crapped myself when I first bought my new 2006 TRD Sport 4x4 cause none of the Tacomas in Cali were 4 wheel drive!! But obviously out there they dont have the off-roading and crazy snow like we do in Utah so made sense but it was just weird seeing so many "Prerunner" emblems haha. :p
