The comment that REAL trucks have 4wd is just plain ignorant... and this is coming from someone who has a 4x4. I've had 2wd trucks for most of my life and they are very capable, you just have to be smart about where you go and how you drive. A lot of people who have 4wd use it incorrectly anyways...

And I believe the word you want in opinion... not option.

Every lifted truck I've seen in my area is a prerunner. . . I don't get it. The Prerunner's cool and all, but lifted?

Yeah, like all those rear-wheel-drive only, prerunners & 800HP Trophy trucks I was racing with in Baja last fall...they're sooo wimpy. And those things were driving up & over terrain most guys on here will never see.

A skilled driver can get a decently equipped RWD through just about anything. If you're constantly running steep rocky trails, or live where it snows half the year, then 4x4 makes sense, otherwise the excess cost, weight, & maintenance outweigh the benefits.

I think that it is all up to the person making the purchase and how they plan on using it. I own a 4x4 but I also live on the east coast and get a lot of snow so I prefer 4x4. There is no deserts over here as well. Now if I lived out west I would have considered getting a Prerunner.

i think alot of prerunners look cool lifted but me personally id rather have 4x4 and do but its really personal preferance if you dont use 4x4 and like the lifted look then lift your prerunner you dont need 4x4 for most trails and the lift allows for bigger tires i dont think your a troll just cause you dont like prerunners
