Ok a couple of things here. SO ARB along with TJM and other bumper manufacturers from Aussie land HAVE to be "engineered" to be allowed on the vehicles. They have extremely strict guidelines over there for modifications to vehicles. Now next point is well our stuff as well as others have taken on many a deer and accidents and not totaled a vehicle. Eddy hit a deer with his on the Ram doing 70 and it barely dented the bumper where the winch holes are cut out. Other manufacturers hold up well too to deer impacts and other crashes without totaling a truck and air bags go off.

Now onto ARB. So they use thinner ga. metal in some areas and those can dent and bend easily, I've seen it happen where other trucks leaned on the same area and nothing. This is to deal with the crash tests they go through. Also ARB is still not technically DOT crash test rated they are in house tested just to make sure the air bags go off. Lots go into this though in a crash. You got a lifted truck and tall ass tires hitting a smart car even with an ARB the air bags may not go off. I haven't been able to find any definitive information on how and what the test parameters were when they tested this. Also I don't see anywhere on ARBs site about the skid plates and stuff. You see everything you add to the truck takes away from the factory crash testing and possible correct air bag deployment. That's why AEV and GM spent tens of millions on all their R&D for the bison.

Well shit I'm supposed to be trying to sell you on SOS and yet what I sold you on is not modifying at all.

Antiseize and tighten slowly to prevent galling.

Ok, then which SOS bumper? I want more clearance because most of the places I'll eventually offroad will be offroad parks in the eastern US. I don't want a stealth bumper like the OP.
If he's going into plastic clips, he should have any problems.

No he has nuts on the inside of the fender. Stainless is horribly about galling and I always forget until I have one seize
We offer a full plate and hybrid for the front the full plate you can get hoops that cover the headlights 13BC5A95-CC8C-4D25-AB29-4DAD16C06EF6.jpg

Thank you. We try and keep the bumpers as tight to the body as possible and well put our flair on them dealing with very tough to build for styles these days. The 4runner and Zr2 are the same way. The new Ranger should be more easy and look better IMO.

Does SOS have a no-cut option?

I think you even need to cut for ARB.

Below the headlights and the part of the OEM bumper where it meets the fender.

Oh yeah nope we don't. One of our competitors does, but IMO it looks like the truck has either 2 black eyes or hasn't slept in weeks and has massive bags under it's eyes. Hard to make metal look as good and clean as the factory does in that area.

Phooey. I like the look of the no-cut bumpers and I really, REALLY don't want to have to :sawzall: on the Ice Truck.

Demello makes a fiberglass filler or you could get another plastic bumper from a junk yard to cut and keep your factory one.

I'll probably just end up cutting it, but I'm going to complain about it the whole time.

Nothin new here. Work and then honey do list is keeping me busy.

This weekend though bed rack is coming off for paint. Softopper too for some maintenance. Yota mafia rock lights FINALLY going in and @SDHQ OFFROAD updated battery terminals.

Pretty much the last little things I have at the house to do before I have to restock on misc parts to hold for another few months lol
