Your Dream Tacoma Color?

it is still my favorite actual Tacoma color.

I would have otherwise gone for one in:
Cavalry blue
Army Green
Quicksand

 

Cement has always been my favorite. When I ordered my 2022, I was majorly disappointed that Cement was no longer being offered. I have no idea why Toyota took that color away. So I went with the next best thing - Celestial Silver Metallic. I like my CSM, but it is no Cement.

I liked Calvary Blue as well.

 

Quicksand is sort of an unusual color. From my experience with mine. Most tell me its a horrible color. The only ones that say they like it are jeep owners. My brother thinks it came from the taliban, and the wife says it should belong to a zoo. I just call it my desert storm truck.

 

I was so disappointed when Toyota discontinued Quicksand, (maybe I like it so much because it looks awesome in the desert where I live?), but I bought a 2022 Trail Edition in Lunar Rock and I have to say, the color is really growing on me and I'm not quite as disappointed.

 

Quicksand is the best, bought mine in March of 17 and only washed her twice! She still looks brand new.

 

A little orange peel is a flaw if it is in an easily seen area., but the issue is thickness. What would normally be a light scratch will easily go through the clear and when you try to buff them out you buff right into the paint. I just got my 2020 used and it had a bunch of small scratches. . . . . . or so I thought. I got about half of them out, but could only slightly lighten the rest after I found myself going through the clearcoat so easily. I swear my 4th gen 4runner has at least twice the thickness of paint and clear.

 

Quicksand is easy to keep clean looking !

 

Wish they had cavalry blues for the 2021 model year with all the updated tech and electrically adjustable seats

 

My boss has a 69 Roadrunner (Six pack & 4 speed) in B5. I absolutely love that color.

 

Production color I would love Electric Lime. Non-Toyota production color would be McLaren's Volcano Red. What I would do to paint my truck this color.

 

Dark blue or midnight blue.

But, the Bartheloni Red is doing me just fine.

 

This!! With a light gray interior option (instead of the current 'black only')

 

Cement and Barcelona Red.

The Ford Raptor had a color called Leadfoot. And it would look amazing on a Tacoma. (It definitely does on a Raptor)

 

Nice blue! For stock blue I’m partial to the Miami Blue. You can’t go wrong with Guards Red. I really like my Carmine Red. Heck, I don’t think I’ve seen a bad Porsche color.

I do miss Radiant Red. (bright fire truck red)

 

Actually, I change my mind. I'll take Porsche Guards Red.

 

I really like Quicksand, but I think cement looks better with dirt on it. : )B


Yamaha calls it Armor Grey.
