No money, all went to truck...
The 80s 4x4 was the best years for Toyota. I wish they'd do a manufacturing run of the 80s trucks.

First Toyota was a 2017 Tundra, never owning a Toyota I had higher expectations tbh. The tundra body strength was absolute shit, my rear fenders had body ripple all the way down the line at the top from tying down sheets of wood and general building material, not to mention the gas mileage in that thing was so bad. I get it, it was a 5.7L V8 but my god was it bad. Sold that for a 2020 F150 eco boost that I ended up putting on long travel on and I currently still own it but mostly use it for driving long distance and towing. My current Toyota is a Tacoma 2020 TRD off-road 4x4 and I absolutely love this thing. I drive it way more than the Ford. Also had a 2001 or maybe 2004 single cab Tacoma pre-runner, had about 268,000 miles on and still ran like a champ.

1st one not my actual truck but I had the same exact one 1994 manual 4cyl single cab. Paid $13,500 brand new at a midnight special sale in the farmlands of upstate NY. Had a 2nd home up there back then. Sold it to a local farmer after the quarters rotted out in 2006 for $5500. They were using it in the fields still when I sold that house in 2015. Not road worthy with the wood 4x4s holding the frame together. Love my new 2022 Off Road.

Brand new in the spring of 1992. $19,500. Paid it off in 3 years and drove it on many adventures for 14 years.

First kid came along, had to sell it for this. Drove it for 15 years but always wanted to get back into a Toyota Truck.

Finally back in a Toyota Truck. 2020. $47,500.

First Toyota was a red ‘93 standard cab pickup. Bought it with 55,000 miles, reliable truck, put over 100,000 on that one when it was rear ended on the freeway. Guy that hit me bought it rather than tell his insurance. Then in 2005, I bought my first 4x4. A 2003 Toyota Dbl Cab. The truck of my dreams. Only had 14,000 on it, perfect condition. Put a 2” lift on it with lots of mods, always garaged, extremely reliable, had that truck for 16 years & over 215,000 miles when it was totaled by a kid running a red light in 2021 & soon after, I got my 2018 Toyota Tacoma SR Access Cab 4x4. Pretty happy so far, got the shell, light bar, bilstein shocks, new stereo & sub amp recently, & some other things. Sure hope this truck lasts as long as my 1st Gen & beyond….upload_2023-2-16_20-4-22.jpg

First Toyota truck I owned was a new 1978 wolverine 4wd pickup. It was ill put together by a California conversion shop that kept breaking chassis parts. I ended up selling it a year later for a 79, a real Toyota 4x4 pickup. Loved that truck. I had a few more till I bought a 2001 4wd sr5 tundra which was an outstanding truck too. Now owning a 2020 tacoma for the last 3 years which has been just as good.
