Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Over 65 mph, my mpg drops quick.
19 mpg if I stay 65 or under most of the trip.
16 mpg if i do 70-75 mph most of the trip.

If you're getting 19-20mpg in your Tacoma I'd be happy with it!

I used to average 19.1MPG's when mine was new/stock.

Now I get 15mpg's if I drive it gently... :D

These trucks are about as aerodynamic as a brick. Where I live the wind always blows the same direction so a trip to the city is 75 miles with a tailwind and 75 miles with a headwind. With the E rated KO2's I'm averaging a steady 18 mpg driving the 65 mph limit on the interstate. I go faster the average drops substantially.

I know the interstate in Wyoming is 80 mph. I also know even with stock tires my truck barely squeaked out 16 mpg at 80 mph but 6th gear is a little low for that kind of speed.

Highway can be from 17-22, it all depends on speed and if the gas contains ethanol. In Mexico, my mileage is much better with heavy loads than at home with no loads, because Mexican gas has no ethanol in it.

City can be from 13-15 (Ethanol diluted fuel, California)

Typically, I would call my average mpg numbers: 18 Hwy., 15 City, 16 combined.

    Prerunner.

4x4's def get less mpgs as there is more rotating stuffs.

I can eek out 21mpg at 60mph without much wind... but bump the speed to 70 and im looking at 19mpg, throw some wind and you are down to 17.

    I'm a 2008 V6 Manual with a 50/50 split of Highway/City and I average between 18 and 19. I keep a written log every time I fill up too. I'm pushing 265/70/17s.

My best was 22.5 mpgs when I first got my truck. That was a consistent average for all highway. Now after a few things done to it I usually get right around 18-19 highway. Overall average speeds around 70 mph.

It's amazing how 5-10mph makes a big difference in MPGs on these trucks. I can't stand doing less than 75-80 on the interstate so my MPGs suffer. But if I'm doing 65-70 I could get much better.

Similar to others...if I'm disciplined enough (which I'm not most of the time) I've calculated 20 mpg staying right at 2000 RPMS. More typical driving around 70-75....I'm getting around 17-18.

    None, yet.
Wow, there's a wide spread out there.

Still stock for the moment, auto v6 double cab. 21 on the highway at speeds up to 70, perhaps approaching 22 at 65 and below. Mixed driving averages 19 to 20. Heck, I can get 18 on the highway pulling a 2000 lb aframe camper and all our gear.

Note that head winds do have a noticeable effect on mileage.

This is what I get. Highway I get no better than 17 MPG on a 4x4 DCSB auto V6 with 265 Duratrak Load range C. On a 2000 mile round trip going 70-75 I got 16.7 MPG.

I wish it did better but it is what it is...

I have a V6 access cab 4x4 and recently got 21 on a tank, 415 miles. All 2 lane highway driving around 60-65 mph. I usually average 18-20 driving 75.

I just check gas mileage because I'm curious not that I really care about it. Worst milage was 11 going 60 mph with a stiff 35-40 headwind.

You guys getting 21-22 are pretty impressive, I'm getting a consistent 15-16 mpg city, 18 mpg highway. Might have seen close to 19 on a 225 mile trip where I didn't go much over 65, but traffic here flows 70-75 on the highway, so that kills it. Never even gotten close to 20 mpg, and doubt I will. Truck runs great though!
