I bought a Smittybilt 5.6 cfm part number 2781 air compressor. Puts out lots of air and hasn't overheated on me yet.

I want an emergency communication device for hiking/camping/offroading and in terms of obtainable truck parts I think I just want new wheels or a re-gear but I'll settle for a new grille and some Rokblokz mudflaps. I doubt the lift I want is in the cards for me this year.

I've been looking at GMRS radios as well. Easiest licensing with up to 50watts of power.

I'm actually looking at something along the lines of an InReach so I can carry it hiking in the mountains. It's good insurance and better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. A CB is a good choice too. I want to be able to listen in on FSRs in the province so I don't get mowed down by a logging truck.

I’ll be looking to get a Softopper. The eBay tonneau works fine for what it is, but at the end of the day a 5’ bed isn’t all that much storage when you can’t go vertical.

Anyone order parts yet since the ball dropped? I think I am going to order my mudflaps this week and probably my bed mat. Also thinking about putting together a nice little compressor ‘package’ with the compressor listed on my parts list including Shellshock’s inflator/deflator.

    Here’s to a happy 2020!!!

Shored up the list and added a fairly accurate estimate of total price. Super doable.

Since this has turned into a bit of a build thread, I may as well start one. But, I ordered my bed mat! I will have it tomorrow.

Just from personal experience I wouldn't recommend Xbull traction boards if you have to rely on them frequently. I've only used them for leveling the truck(about 30 times) and 1 mild recovery, already cracked in 20 places with chunks missing.

They worked great so far but they obviously won't last the next 6 months.

watch the youtube video reviews... they work ok on sand/flat dirt.. but whenever subjected to a bending force they stress, and crack, and are not as durable as the maxxtrax.... theyre an investment.. looking to get maxxtrax extemes soon.... hoping for black friday deal on them...
