Anywhere you see or suspect there to be rust, or can’t see bare metal because of that goopy stuff.

well, it seems to be quite rusty underneath the old undercoat/black paint. So you definitely need to bang the frame thoroughly with a hammer, that's the only way to know if the rusty frame is still good

the area to check first is where the leaf springs attach to the frame, right behind the cab, as this is usually the first spot where these frames start to rust and rot. Then by the catalytic converter and the gas tank, as these are commonly rotten spots.

Then try to take a look under the bedliner, the seams of the bed seems to be rusty too

The truck bed is usually the worst.

4th picture: this is where it can get ugly. Mine was perforated from rust at this location. If you go to Boulevard Toyota, they could tell you if the truck is still covered by the warranty. You could get a brand new frame. Ask for Sylvain Vincent, he knows pretty much all about it.

Don’t bother you won’t get a new frame unless there’s an actual hole in it. My frame was about as bad as could be but no holes. This frame looks pretty terrible I wouldn’t waste your money on it. Trust me and look for a clean one.

Nope, judging by these new pictures I'd pass

Well, unless you hammer test it and it turns out it is good and you get it for real cheap, but the thing is that you will have to scrape off all of this old undercoat (and mud??), treat the rust and grease the hell out of the truck. But $5600 for this? no
