I'm in the process of rewiring the right rear tail light (one of the connectors in the pigtail corroded and broke and a previous owner ran a jump wire to make the tail light operative, but that's a whole 'nother story) by removing the jumper and replacing the connectors. I'm also planning to add a trailer wiring harness (plug-n-play) at the same time. I'd like your thoughts/opinions on using dielectric grease in the connectors this time around. Both sides are pretty corroded even though the connectors appear to be built to be water tight. Could I do any harm by using it?
    Thanks in advance!

    Not a problem.

It can be liberally applied to the exposed metal parts of non-sealed connectors, like spade lugs, to prevent corrosion.
