My top 5 things were things that would get the most practical use for how I will be using my truck, Which from this October until sometime early next fall will be driving me all over the state as I section hike the Arizona trail.
1: Better tires- Installed LT 265/70/R17 Toyo Open Country At2's on TRD Pro 4Runner wheels. Will be spending a lot of time on rocky desert non maintained FS service roads getting to/from remote trailheads so wanted something stronger and tougher than the stocks to lessen the chance of a back country flat or worse multiple flats.
2: Lights, more specifically a light bar. Will be driving a lot of those FS roads in the dark pre sunrise so want to be able to see and avoid hitting an animal or illegal immigrant down in southern AZ
3 Vanity projects, make my truck look better to me TRD Pro Grill, No lux matte black overlays for the badges, trd shift knob
4: Sound improvements Intake kit and exhaust maybe marginal performance gains here.
5: Somewhere down the line look at suspension. The stock TRD OR set up is more than enough to handle my needs for the next year or so.

See what and how you are going to use your truck then decide from there. That's usually the easiest route. I went with lift and tires first, I couldn't get into my camp road stock. Then front skid since I mangled the factory tin. I need/want rock rails, just way to pricey on these things.

I would go need first, but I would also wait a little before jumping in. Otherwise, you may find yourself modding your previous mods after you find something better.

This of course excludes the standard, low-cost stuff like the diff breather and is very different from what I'd do with a street truck. In that case, audio ftw.

    2. Enjoy your new truck.
    3. You'll think of something

Just kidding, but drive the truck a while and figure out what you would like to improve.

And welcome TW, now get lost.....

I have it as a DD, family mover, and work truck.

    1.) All weather mats
    2.) Seat covers
    3.) TonnPro trifold (soft cover)
4.) Small light under Tonno cover for winter
5.) I am getting new tires soon

Enjoy the truck and do what fits your daily needs - I cannot stand Bro-mobile / bolt-on showoff shit.

So...many.... possibilities.....thanks for all the responses, warning, new info. It's probably true that I should sift through some more information hear on TW, but then I leave convinced I should get x, y, and/or z, haha.
Rims, tires, suspension, grille seem to be some of the first things I thought of. The tuner will take some more research. Something like that had never crossed my mind.
Roof rack, lighting, also up there.... damnit.
I got an AJT key fob...that was actually step one because I thought it was cool, haha, maybe that'll be the color I throw in.

Taking off the ugly air dam was the very first thing I did when it came home from the lot, then putting HID’s in because the stock lighting is almost like you have candles in the headlights. Aside from that lifting mine was the first actual mod I did as it’s the most expensive mod I see myself doing for a while. With it came tires and wheels, then a OEM roof rack, tailgate inlay, Black TRD stickers to get rid of the ugly stock ones on the bed side, TRD Pro grille, and other goodies here and there:thumbsup: we then people of TW shall get you going here soon enough!

Does taking off the air dam influence MPG? I thought I skimmed past a post on here, but can't find it with a quick search.

Haha, love the marvel movies, very funny. I actually currently have a stark enterprises license plate frame from my last car that now doesn't match anything, haha.

It probably will as it’s there to increase your MPG. I’d youre looking to lift and put bigger tires on and what not though it won’t even matter. They make the truck look a lot lower to the ground too..and ugly:anonymous:
