I was going to buy one but I went with the Smittybilt and changed the fittings to accept standard air chucks.

Don't get me wrong I love the ARB and I would love to have that portable dual ARB with the little one gallon tank. but it's like 800 bucks.

Maybe santa will bring me one lol.

Thanks for posting the picture. Do you possibly have a link to the regulator that you used?

my take on the ARB OBA. I dont own one, after plenty of recommendations to not buy one.

    The reasons that where given:

1.) they have difficulty filling 35s
2.) They fail due to the the amount of vibration.
3.) Airlockers (ARB using arb oba) are great if you have the time to chase air leaks.
4.) cost vs performance, example being the ARB dual is like 500 bones, where a smittybuilt 4.5 fgm is like 160. I have the smittybuilt and I timed it. The smittybuilt will fill a 35 inch tire from 11 psi to 30 psi in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

    YMMV

Never understood why everyone wants to mount an expensive ass compressor under the hood. Hot, dirty, vibrations...... it must be some overland instagram trend.

    I have a viair 380C in my bed. 100% duty cycle @100psi, 55% at 200psi.

Don’t know where you get your info but watch this video to clarify some of your recommendations. At the end it all goes down of what application it’s used for, it’s a matter of personal preference.

I use the dual ARB, I air up 4 35’s at the same time. This takes about 5-7 minutes.

I actually enjoy having my arb under my hood. One less thing I have to worry about packing. It’s neatly installed. I’m a fan of it there

so after looking online, I've come down to two choices for the mounting bracket: SLEE or GTFO Expedition.

Any thoughts on either? Thank you.

Looking to getting this done before Fall semester begins!

    All the things!
Those two mounts look nearly identical. Not sure what the GTFO bracket is made of, but I'd assume carbon steel... therefore, I'd go with the Slee bracket. For $20 more, you get stainless steel. Yes, the GTFO bracket is powder coated, but that can fail pretty easily on such thin gage metal. Especially if it gets scratched on install... and it will.

Edit: full disclosure, I have Slee

I have the rago. I personally love the setup. No issues yet. I also have an ARB locker so I went with this. Fills up my 32 just fine. Everything is nicely mounted, wires zip tied, and I did the factory style buttons on the insideIMG-4739_86e4e99ba2cb87ad4360dbd5842af93793c93fc3.jpg

I don’t have the compressor but I’ve purchased from Slee previously. They are a very good company with quality customer service.

i bought the GTFO myself. It takes a magnet so I assume powder coated carbon steel. I picked it because I don’t intend to mount a compressor but rather a capacitor, two fuse blocks, and any other electrical pieces I add later on. I liked the circular holes for routing cabling.
I have already scratched it a bit testing the mount position.
In retrospect I may actually prefer the slee but since I don’t have one of those I can’t know for sure.

I went with the ARB single because the truck is my daily and I don't wheel during the winter and I wanted a compressor that was reliable and fast and didn't weigh too much. Fills up my 32 fine.
