your thoughts on the Best mower

My favorites (from past experiences) are:

(1) Smaller push mowers = Honda

(2) Medium size rider = Snapper (especially the older models)

(3) Bigger mower = ExMark

Just my experiences ...

Best string trimmer I have ever had was an Older Commercial Shindaiwa (20 years ago) needed a big harness.
Second Best was Stihl (present) needs no harness.

yep Stihl handhelds are top notch. I'm not too sure about everything switching over to the 4mix though. I like the older ones better.

 

A buddy has a 4mix. It's a bit on the hefty side, but has tons of power. Starts easy too. I'm old school as well though...I love 2-stroke engines.

 

yep I'm more for tried and true. I have and use a 4mix string trimmer I just don't like it as much as my other equipment. It's a little more finicky to start compared to the others but it is very torquey(sp?).

 

I have this one too....never a issue.

I use a Wright Zero-turn... I love it for its small footprint. It is maneuverable in tight spots and great for small yards (It's a 36" Stander)
As for push mowers, I use an old John Deere something that i bought from my grandpa when they sold their house and moved to an apartment. It just keeps going, change the oil every year and hasn't needed anything else.

I see we have quite a few commercial guys... Post up your pics of your "best mowers"

those are crooked stripes. if you have a lawn care business at least make them straight.

 

I love those standers. You could fit so many more of those on a trailer and you can do wheelies on them I don't suggest it though.

Here's mine with less than an hour on it.



It sure is pleasing to look at such a shiny mower but unfortunately it didn't last too long.

It's probably just the angle or he was following the slight curve of the street.

 

Neither... Slight hill in the yard. But yes for bagging and IMO cut quality walkers can't be beat...

And ask my stander how many hydro drive belts its eaten doing wheelies...

Have you seen that one video on youtube of the guy on the stander doing wheelies like a mad man?

 

My Toro has been outside for 4 years through all the weather and starts on first pull every time. It runs better on premix that i have for the weed wacker for some reason.

Walker....Schmalker

 

The GHS high lift is pretty sweet...it was developed and is manufactured for walker a few miles from me. I just hate the line the back wheel leaves in the mowing path and the controls between your legs.

 

The name of the company that made the first high dumps is slipping my mind. Starts with an "A" though right?

I see the wheel as their signature but if you desire they have a split tail wheel option.

BTW that is a hell of a machine you have yourself and that's quite the cut as well Everything else is kept really tight to. I see the pride in your work.

Comercial Honda ~ my 48" Hydro walk behind would cut grass like no tomorrow and had enough balls to move the 18' car trailer.

All the non hydro walk behinds BITD were rated at 150lbs tow weight.
