Dave, considering you aren’t on a strict budget, go buy a brand new truck and treat yourself. You are only going to save pennies by buying a lightly used Tacoma. In your situation, I would recommend a brand new truck. Opens up your buying options too. You can pinpoint specific colors, options, etc...

My grandfather used to say that you will always attract more bears to honey than shit. As someone new around here, being condescending does usually not endear yourself to others, and will result in reciprocal responses.

I was waiting for this. I almost posted this.

Honestly OP you've given so little input your bound to get responses that don't feel valid. One of your examples was "you'll hate silver". That implies we know you, or what you like. The only thing I know about you so far is that you're into low effort posting (me too!), want a 4x4 and have unlimited budget. If the responses feel wrong, maybe the question was poorly formulated?

I know money isn't free so we don't just throw it away, but why buy a used truck that you don't know anything about (if you knew anything about used Tacoma's your OP would have been better). Just go buy a new 2020 and get the features you want, including a power seat. They aren't much more than used trucks, come with a warranty (and sense of entitlement that seems like it will fit).

The truck in the link is a 2017, you can find out everything generic about the truck with Google. Anything specific could be asked here... Ya know specifically. Cheers.

I vote new too . Shop around and get a the best deal you can . First figure out what trim you want . Do you want 4x4 , leather , LED lights or basic ? If money is really no object then buy a army green PRO .

If comfort, power, and fuel economy are important to you, don't buy a Tacoma. I had one for 3 months. It was AWFUL. Full size with a real engine made me happy again. These new TuRDS are not the same as past Toyota history would have you believe. Thought you might like a different perspective.

I think we have come to that new is better options for your unlimited budget, so Toyota.com is a great place to start to determine how each model stacks up and what features each model offers.

I think a convertable Mustang might fit your personality and attitude better than a Taco. IMO

Don't waste your time looking at used ones then if you want a 3rd gen. Only reason to go used is if you like the first or second gen.

One thing to add... as has been mentioned by others, for the money 37K used vs ~40 new.. I would go with the new with no complaints. This build even has the Backflip which is better IMHO than OEM

    Thank you, SouthernFried.
I am leaning in the direction you and others suggest.
My reason for I have subscribed in the past to the theory of avoiding neonate illness by letting someone else work out the bugs in a new truck, let them drive it 20K mi.
With the new vehicle option, we might say they have an excellent warranty - but fulfilling warranty issues means a day off work & 300mi drive for me each time.
Knowing there is little $$ difference between new and 1-2 yrs old is helpful.
