Sealed the ends of the tailgate cables with JBWeld to prevent water from getting into the plastic sleeve and rusting out the metal cable.
You are looking at 17 year old tailgate cables.

Ordered a custom roll bar and rock sliders from a guy in Albuquerque, NM. PM me if you’re in the area and want contact info (no relation, and I’m not a paid actor - he just does damn good work for cheap). Total, during Covid-era stupid prices, was under $1200 (not rhino lined; that was done separately).

What did you replace it with? Mines badly frayed and the Dorman part I replaced it with was just a little too long so there wasn't actually any tension on the cable

Looks awesome! Did you custom build the winch mount or did you purchase it?

I strongly debated fabricating something similar until I eventually pulled the trigger on a steel tube bumper (installing next month).

You should fabricate and sell those online.

I added an ammo can to my front right fender inside the engine compartment on my truck. I use it to store my recovery straps.
