Drop bracket lift and booger welds
its absolutely possible, good eye. It’s under a lot of tension sometimes because I need to smash the tailgate into the bike tire to get it to hook up.

Shoulder Bolt - 18-8 Stainless Steel Low-Profile Precision Shoulder Screw 12 mm Shoulder Diameter, 10 mm Shoulder Length, M10 x 1.5 mm Thread

    Nut - High-Strength Steel Distorted-Thread Flange Locknut Class 10, Zinc-Plated, M10 x 1.5 mm Thread

Washer - I used a M8 washer I had on hand and tapped it for M10-1.5 threads. The thread relief on the shoulder bolt caused way too much play between the bolt and a standard M10 washer such that the shoulder would not bear down on the washer fully. The threaded M8 washer provided the least amount of play.
