Probably averaging around 40mpg with those tires and winch I'd say.

 

Under truck, mummified spare CV storage plus one other little goodie that's harder to see (last pic).

That's pretty awesome. I've been trying to think of a way to solid mount my spare cv in my toolbox, so that gives me a few more ideas to play with.

 

I did get new ones shortly after since everyone kept making fun of me. You can see the blue better in that picture though lol

I just thought it was cool because the blue went with my truck.

And it looks cool with lights behind it! Hard to see in pics but looks cooler in person.

Made right here in my Dirty Pool. The idea started as nothing more than 4"x4" aluminum angle.

Some of the dimensions and thicknesses had to be fooled with to insure that everything was metal against metal without pinching or chafing the boot rubber.
The bright surfaces of the CV ends were greased, bound in stretch wrap then a layer of duct tape with a final slathering of Plasti-Dip. Red of course.
That shaft is also the original "boot slide" test bed.

 

Haven't gone through all 21 pages but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one on TW with this in their truck haha
