Modified fj80 grill and hid’s

4Runner overhead console

Compass/temp mirror
Modified door panels for 3 way comp with 4 runner tweet pods
And 3 kicker solobaric 8’s in a Aperiodic setup on the back wall of my doublecab

Modified 4runner rack

Home built rear bumper

And home brew spare tire carrier

Great looking truck man. What year Sienna is the steering wheel from?

The amount of modest yet highly usefull additions to your truck, along with the truck in genera. Are just f ing top notch man!

 

Thank you sir, I take pride in my truck, but don’t have the big bucks to shell out, so I do all of my own mods, and fab. It’s a passion/hobby, something to keep me occupied when the kids are asleep, or I’m not sitting in my cubicle.

 

Now if I could find some measurements off of an ARB bumper, I’ll be building my own as well.

 

Everything minus the cubical I can 100% relate to.

I have a relentless bumper waiting to be slightly modifed, no arb for measuring. Just getting a inside view of a arb would explain a lot. Did you use HSS for the back bumper.

 

That sub setup is clean... definitely want but it’s so far down on my priority list at the moment haha

 

The mod to the door is clean.. i may have to look into something like that. id really love to have a 3 way system in the truck. just don't want to use kick panels.. this is much cleaner looking

Hows the sienna wheel color match wise? i was going to get a sequoia leather wrapped frame and put those wheel controls on mine..

 

How did you adapt the Sienna clockspring with the existing cruise and airbag? How does it adapt with a head unit?

i do believe everything is plug and play and you just need the harness for the radio controls out of the sienna. Someone on here has swapped the controls onto their Tacoma steering wheel.

 

So say I had an aftermarket headunit, most of them had one wire (I think?) for the steering wheel volume controls. All I would do I wire that directly to the clockspring?

I was wondering about the cruise control since I know some of them use 2, 3, or 4 wires depending on the vehicle. I really want a Lexus steering wheel...

 

Radios have integration harnesses, you'd have to get one for the vehicle you pulled the steering wheel out of. It converts the serial data from that one wire to the multi wire OEM signal.

 

That makes more sense. I'd love an ES300 steering wheel to match my power seats.

 

2nd gen coils on 1st gen w/5100's replacing the suck ass progressive 1st gen coil, yes they fit proper, yes the ride is vastly improved & gained an inch in height, it's a cheap mod that is functional , you can find stock 2nd gen coils for next to nothing & don't let the masses ridicule you , I've done it, & it works ,, very well.

As far as matching goes, if 2wd prerunner 1st gen then get coils off a 2nd gen 2wd prerunner , if 4x then look for 2nd gen coils off 2nd gen 4x, the 2nd gens are a little heavier spring & an inch longer than 1st gens..

 

You can do better than a steering wheel from that grandpa car. That's like the one Lexus that I have zero interest in, my buddy owns one and it is so non Lexus like, plus FWD is a real fun killer. Although the seats are comfy I guess. You need a fancy steering wheel like one from an IS 300 or LS 400, pretty sure they have heated options.

 

Your concept I understand, who its directed at is lost. In my scenario the time ect is not worth dissaaembly or drilling and modifying a 06 for to use on a 04. You have time or money but never at the same time.

 

That FJ80 grille looks great on there, really nice job. Hell looks better on your truck than on my 80 haha...


I dig the steering wheel too, I'm still trying to find a good replacement for mine. I think I want one from a 3rd gen pickup, something simple and small. Maybe an IS300.

 

Ha, grandpa car is the perfect way to describe it.

The seats really are comfortable as hell. I sat in almost all of the European imports they had the my local P&P and they were all stiff and spongy. The ES300 seats were by far the most comfortable and plush.
