No the membrane will change the resistive force if it gets wet.
So I made a “blanket” out of pvc shower liner that keeps water off of the membranes.

I rolled my 3rd Gen 4Runner and no air bags deployed. Assuming it's just the front/side impact thing

Same in my 95, rolled at 35MPH or so with the front divers fender and bumper area making first contact. Made it all the way over back onto wheels and nothing set off :/

Pretty much what I did. I was going 45 though. Went up an embankment and rolled completely over on the way down. Stupid black ice

How much lift do those provide up front? I know those are sought after by the 4runner folks for the 03-09 models to level them out

I got about 1.5” out of the coils. I also did the bilstein 5100s on the middle setting a few weeks later for the bigger tires. In the picture I’m sitting at about 2 3/4” lift in the front. The FJ coils have a heavier spring weight like the ome 883s, they just don’t provide a full 2.5” of lift by themselves.

Nice, love outside the box thinking, I swapped out my stock progressives for some 2nd gen coils off a 2015 sport 4x to gain an inch leveling me out which it did & the valving on the 5100's seem to be enough to damper the slightly heavier coil, ride is good & aligns within specs, best part of all is $0.00
out of pocket, they were free..

Your MOD is def. more unique...:thumbsup:

My dad had them laying in his shop, he put the toytec coils on his FJ to level him out so mine were free too!

I put together a front diff drop today. Cut the Spacers out of a 1” chunk of aluminum and picked up the hardware from fastenal. $11, 1 hour, and a few beers later.

There are only a few of these available for sale at any given time. I looked forever before I got my taco. But I quite enjoyed the backstory to the steering wheel.
