So this has started.... Ds2 4.0 projector retro and hid kit. I never really thought about the shroud and just ordered a panorama switchback shroud. No way that thing will fit. I need smaller shrouds but I want to make sure I’m getting the right ones this time. These after market headlights have a smaller bucket than the stock ones. I think I saw a thread where a member on here builds the lights. Anyone got the link to that or know his name? He had several pics of different set-ups he’d put together. Oh and here’s a unique one from a couple weeks ago! Lower ball joint failure! The steering felt “tight” the day before. So I put it up on the lift to check things out. Everything felt good, no slack in any of the steering or suspension so I assumed my powering steering pump or rack and pinion was starting to fail... AGAIN. I get up to go to work the next morning and make it about 3 miles and wham! Luckily it happened on a gravel road and I was only going about 25. The lower balljoint “ball” looked like it had just dried out (no grease zerk) and grinded down enough to pop out of the socket. It has moogs all the way around now, hoping that never happens again. Pretty fortunate with the only amount of damage it caused! Upper and lower ball joints, axle, and brake hose. Lift for the front of seat. Makes the seat much more comfortable for me. Supports my legs keeps my hip from hurting. I have done this to my last 3 Toyotas.

Those are Spyder one piece headlights. Search eBay for '2001-2004 tacoma drl headlights'.
Disclaimer though.. Questionable quality and performance. Some leak. Some don't. Depends on how lucky you are.. Light output isnt as good as oem. And install can be tricky. But they do look nice. I have them with retros. Just wanna throw that out there before you pull the trigger on a set. And not dissing windfarmers ride.. They look nice and fresh on your rig;)

Lol yeah what night prowler said.

I’ve had mine a year and they haven’t leaked and the leds are still working. I’ve been running LED headlight bulbs but I’m retroing some Morimoto d2s 4.0s in mine also right now. I preferred the tinted lens with the black truck. They are a nice upgrade for 16 year old oem headlights

Nice! Interested to see the finished product. My current set is all fubar and ive had a new set nearly ready to be built for a while now, just havent done it. Still need to decide what to do for shrouds and halos.

Remove plastic side covers from the seat base. Then remove front 2 bolts from seat base. I used 1/8 inch by 1 inch bar stock drilled a hole in one end bolted it to the seat base and marked my second hole "be sure to leave enough room to put a nut on under the seat frame. I drilled my holes about 1 3/8 inches apart. Pretty tight getting the nut on.

I was sick of the cheap plastic interior door handle so I swapped some from a 90's camry. I would have used the whole thing but the shroud wasn't deep enough and left a gap
between the cover and the door panel. Instead I just removed the plastic handle and replaced it with the metal one. Takes about 5 minutes to swap them both out.
