I fitted a 97 4runner door handle this evening on passenger side 10 bucks from junkyard. I'm actually looking for metal one from something that will work. And I got a throttle control body for 35. Haven't cleaned it up yet to put on.

Just finished up this custom airbag setup. I built this kit to use when I load my truck down with a canopy, roof top tent, and camping gear. I daily my truck, and typically drive it with the bed empty, so expo leafs were not something I wanted to use. In fact, I'm going to set the rear suspension up with ADS resi shocks and a custom deaver leaf spring pack. After looking into typical airbag kits, none of them had enough droop to work with my mid travel setup. I was originally going to go with a normal airbag and daystar cradle, but didn't like the idea of loosing my bump stops. I push my truck pretty hard, and use my bump stops quite often. These Carli airbags have 12'' of travel, and have a large air volume so they don't affect suspension performance as much as a smaller volume bag. They also come off with just a single bolt at the top and bottom of the bag, so they will be easy to remove when they're not needed.

I have an Inclinometer/Altimeter/Barometer out of a 1980’s era JDM 4Runner. I wired the backlight to the old ashtray light.

It took me forever for one of these that wasn’t crazy expensive, they’re stupid rare.

There’s a few on there right now for $150-200. Cheapest I’ve ever seen it.

    how well does it work?
did they stop putting them in because of unpopularity?
or because they don't work great?
im curious because I want to get one, but am hesitant due to the price

Agreed if it’s cool it will almost always be more expensive but if I had the money I’d go cool!

I'd say it works pretty well. It isn't accurate while moving, however, as it operates through gravity. It does work when you're moving, albeit it won't be 100% accurate. The Altimeter/Barometer operates off atmospheric pressure.

They stopped putting them vehicles in the early 1990's, my guess is from a design standpoint. There are many different versions from the international Toyota 4Runner, Land Cruiser Prado, Hilux Surf, and Tercel.

Everything that this device does can be had on a smartphone app and be more accurate.

Damn, I jealous. I've been wanting to do something like that myself, but you are right......they are ridiculously expensive.
    Looks great. Awesome job.

    Thanks!

I got very lucky and found a member on here selling it for $45.

I was in the Philippines searching for a unit in the car scrapping district outside Manila, and I couldn’t find one. They’re damn rare. I dig through bins and bins and went through dozens of stalls.

I did find a unit out of a Mitsubishi Montero, but I didn’t end up using it in favor of the JDM 4Runner unit.

They have electronic versions in 3rd gens now apparently. Realistically this information doesn't do much for you though. I've been off camber many times in many sketch situations and it's something you get a feel for that a gauge won't be able to tell you that well. Still a cool as fuck mod though.

Tyler I’m curious how you mounted it. Wasn’t sure if you secured it with screws or 3M Tape?
I’ve got a Mitsubishi inclinometer I purchased on eBay a couple of years ago, but I never could decide or find a way to mount it. It’s now in my office because I think it’s the coolest thing.
The aftermarket inclinometers I’ve seen look cheap or have a Jeep logo on them.
