Your unique mod on the 1st Gens

I did the same thing.
Both brackets broke off so I welded some 1.5” x 3/16 (I think that’s what it was) flat stock with a nut welded to the top part.

I avoid enlightenment myself on any of those subjects. I enjoy my cave and keep to myself lol.

 

Just to keep it on track, It will be a few weeks till I get the time to take care of this. I will see how the performance goes, many attempt but none have followed through.

I like these camp lights. Been thinking of doing something similar, always a pain trying to light up an area for cooking. When it's pitch black, little lanterns/headlamps only do so much.

I think you will have some issues with that stupid solid axle taking up all that space.

I don't believe that the seller of this truck ever posted it on a forum. They also hired a shop to do the swap years ago.

I have one of those trailer tongue tool box bolted down on my bed. I’ve never seen any other truck with one so I’d say it’s pretty unique

 

I built this wedge top camper on my truck. Pretty sure it’s the only one exactly like it. I don’t think there are a lot of 1st gen flat bed campers.

 

I always imagine someone rear ending a truck with a hook like this, When they go to pull the 2 cars apart the car in the back would end up with its engine ripped out while the other would have a slightly dinged rear bumper lol.
