Your lawn service is supposed to have insurance for stuff like this.

Perhaps. I'll ask, but I suspect they'll disclaim it and of course it's a big 'ol battle then. It's not my guys either; it's the property management that contracts the service.

Did they do a good job on the lawn at least?

In all seriousness I would lose sleep over that, really sorry buddy.

You have a contract with the property management people? Then deal with them as the lawn people work for them. In the end it’s the property management people that are liable for what their subcontractors do. Either way, sucks that this stuff happens.

If you know if a really good detail shop in your area, you might consider PDR and then have them touch up the paint. I wet sanded once and it cost me $400 after I ruined my wife's hood. Rather than a full door repaint, I'd see if a good detailer will touch up and wet sand/buff after the PDR guy does his magic. If it's going to bother you, get it fixed. But the less new paint the better in my opinion.

Totally agree; very hard to match factory product without doing the Full Monty.

Lots.... of........ humor.......... on.................. this............................ forum....................................... :)

    Good advice too.

    Both have their value.

I tracked down the most well reviewed local PDR guy via yelp. We'll see what he has to say. Also, will call a P&B shop based on a referral.

I have never had any luck getting a body/paint shop to touch up. They have only offered to repaint. A well renowned detail shop out here will touch up and wet sand and buff so it'll barely be visible. To most people it won't.

Thanks Buddy, I feel much better now. But wait, now I'm feeling your pain.

Agreed. Took a day, but I'm sorta over it... or at least accepting. I tracked down a good PDR guy. Going to have him do his magic first, then will follow up with Dr. Colorchip.
