You should just install your springs and run without shocks for a bit :yay:

No, that is lame.. Haha. I can't run aftermarket springs with just stock shocks.

Exactly. That's why you install your springs and run without shocks as I suggested.:cool:

I finished installing rear suspension about a week ago. My buddy welded up the reinforcement plates and boxed in the frame.
I had 12" shocks that were a little long for the setup I was going for... So I had to call metealtech4x4 up and buy my 10" shocks back, thank goodness they still had the shocks..
Here is a picture of the 12" shocks on my truck.

Before I bought back the 10" shocks we put the rear bumper back on the truck and bed back on while I still had the 12" shocks... We noticed the bolt holes on the frame didn't line up with the holes on the bed... When we removed the rear bumper the frame bent outward about 1/4" and then welding the cross member didn't really help... Hahaha. Basically this whole project took us about 6 fricken days to complete.

Here are some pictures with the 10" shocks

We had to cut the lower shock mounts in half because the mounts stuck out too far which was giving my truck axle wrap.
The truck is pulling 13" of travel up front and 10" out back. Next summer if I have the money I will long travel the rear and replace the fuel tank with a fuel cell..

I only used one cross bar between the frame. I got the upper shocks mounts from trail gear. You can also get shocks mounts from AP.

Elite fab made me a set of sliders that I will be bolting on and I bought a budbuilt skid plate. My buddy and I need still gather parts for the bolt on sliders.

We had to bend the cross member back in order for the bolt holes to line up with the skid plate holes.

EDIT:Next will hopefully be front bumps with a set of bypass shocks. My friend finally got a tube bender this last weekend so we will be making me a tube bumper here shortly.
