This is going to be a documentation of the build of my truck, which ive only just started, its a 2010 4.0L Prerunner doublecab. so far the only thing on it is the brush guard and predator running bars. but ive ordered a pair of KC Lights for the brush guard, so those should arrive in a while and ill get them on. during the summer i plan to add an air intake and exhaust, and do some small mods along the way.

A picture of the truck as she stands today

Looks good, thats pretty much how i started off with my truck. Grill guard and Exhaust, it sat like that for a good while before i got "the mod bug" haha

Makes me want a color-matched grill, side mirros, and door handles. You can keep your sport hood though. :)

Thanks! I was thinking about taking out the grey grille, painting it black, clearcoating it, then putting it back, so it matched everything else, any opinions on that?

I like that idea. I don't understand why they made the 2010 grille that color.

Ahhhh long time since ive posted. so ill post pictures first thing when i get the chance, but ive added some rear light guards to my truck, and made a nice way to mount a mag light to the back of the front seats that i find pretty useful. ill write that up as a cheap Tacoma mod. also my get the TRD exhaust or intake soon, trying to decide which one to go for first!

Oh also, I mentioned awhile ago I had an off road bumper coming in, and I'd did come in. About 6 months after I ordered it, and it was about 4 inches too wide for my frame. So still looking for a good place to get a nice bumper from since my stock one has a dent from my dad borrowing the truck :/

    thanks!

http://www.carid.com/2005-toyota-tacoma-grill-guards/tail-light-guards-158307.html those are the ones i got. theyre just about 110$ with shipping. I just installed them with a strong vice and a couple of pliars and ajustable wrenches (to bend the mounting tabs, as they do not come perfectly fit). you have to be very careful you fit them so that they dont scrape up your tailgate. The one on the right took me about an hour and a half to install, where the left one just took 10 minuits... it wasnt very hard though, just repetitive bending because they have to be just right of it might scratch your paint. (i used some heavy packing tape around the inside edge of the tailgate so it wouldnt scratch it during install)
