My replacement lbj came with the grease zerks. Should i keep the zerks in place or remove and place the cap back after greasing?

What do you see as the advantage of removing?

I see more work, an ease of 'not now' when it needs greasing, and the chance of cross threading or other thread damage with the ins and outs.

I dont know if any dust could enter trough the zerk and damage the ball joint. Im just asking because the lbj came with the cap in place and the zerks to be installed.

I think most parts come that way. To the best of my knowledge, I've never heard of dust entering through a zerk. They are pretty much one way valves with the pressure of the grease keeping them closed. My layman's explanation my be incorrect term-wise, but functionally I'm quite certain that's how they work. I can see no advantage to not installing them.

Kind of. Grease pushes ball/spring down allowing entry. Spring pushes ball back to stop grease leaking and anything else from entering.

    Leave the zerks installed

    1) Nope.

    2) install and leave.
