    Well I have tried that but apparently on 2018 and up they moved one of the OBD2 pin locations off the port so the pins can’t be jumped.

    the issue I’m having is that the traction control light has been flashing every time I go around turns. Usually 90 degree turns, and it happens more consistently when hastily taking the turn but sometimes just happens around any old turn. Or doing a doing a circle in the cul de sac, with a little bit of speed.

    and this comes after installing a 2” front and 1.5” lift in the back, with OME Nitrochargers all around. Oh, and 255 33” pizza cutters.

    I thought about getting it but I don’t know anything about how to get and use techstream, or how to actually perform the update.

    I guess that’s definitely worth a try.

    would the yaw rate sensor just need programming or is there a specific procedure or function in the program?

    It's a function. Connect, navigate to the ABS ECU, hit Utility, then Reset Yaw Sensor (or something like that). From there, the instructions will say to park on a level surface, have the ignition On (or engine running / can't remember) with the wheel centered, and then hit the reset button.

    Honestly we rarely have to do zero point calibrations unless the alignment was wicked far off.

    I'd suspect a stretched harness giving a dirty signal at low speeds.

    I'd still try to get a zero point done. It takes us 4 minutes, but some shops charge a full hour.

    Gotcha. I’m still planning on getting one done. It would be nice to find someone but if I don’t have any luck, I’ll just have to go to the dealer. Oh well.

    min just trying to figure out what I would tell them to make sure I get the right thing done. Like zero point calibration for VSC/Trac system, or zero point of yaw rate sensor, and maybe a couple others?!?!

    the dealer uses techstream though too….

    If you have a CEL / warning light, then there is no question, the dealer will know the exact issue.


    Yes. We all have the exact same software as the dealer. What we do not have are the targets for the radar and camera calibrations. I didn't have luck making one. Of course, it could have been the setup that didn't work. Much longer story there.

    For what it's worth, Tundra guys have reported yaw problems after leveling, and my unprofeshonul theory is that when you take away the rake, it messes with things, and figured that's why I could never get mine zero'd out since I sit pretty much dead level now. I've tried, I've had mechanics try with the pin method, and I've had the dealership do it twice - still wonky.

    I did plan on getting a little rake back with some new leaf packs - but too many other things demanding my wallets attention.

    Had you ever had an alignment after your lift?
    I believe the calibration is a matter of course after alignment; especially if it's as bad as a lift would make it.

    I have had an alignment after I lifted my truck. I wonder if it’s the combination of bigger tires and the suspension sitting higher that sets the VSC light flashing around turns. No CEL or anything. How just started and has been doing it since I lifted and put new wheels and tires on. I’m just trying to figure out how to fix it because it gets very annoying seeing it flash a bunch, and I don’t want the VSC to malfunction in the case that I actually need it in a certain situation. I would want it work properly.

    I feel like the above factors may be to blame, as well as different suspension characteristics, like the fact that there is more “roll” in the suspension when taking turns.

    I hope the dealer doesn’t charge a ton in case I don’t find someone with TS in a reasonable distance from me, but I might’ve heard 75 something? Or maybe a little more then that… I don’t know…

    I’m just trying to figure out all the sensors that are recalibrated in doing the TS procedure stated above. Just want to make sure the thing I want done would be done.

    I am in the same problem, the alignment shop mentioned the right rear sensor is the issue, about to take to the shop who installed my lift

    Interesting. Glad to hear you’re figuring it out. The rear sensor is the problem meaning it’s just faulty? Like you’re getting a new sensor, or does it just need programming?

    Again, just a note that all of these failures have individual DTCs. Each wheel sensor has it own. The yaw rate sensor has a different one.
