And usually phones die when we lose power at our homes..however, I think prisons are different just not sure if it's generator or something else. I have a friend who works as a guard..

 

The phone shown in the prison is a POTS phone which works off a DC power source. (batteries in C.O.)

If your phone dies when the power goes out, you either have VOIP, or it's because you are on a cordless phone.

Old phones still work , we keep one because we have frequent power outages in winter

 

True..my parents have a corded and I believe it went out recently with the power though.

Either way I know there's some difference with a prison system, just not sure what..or could just be generator power I don't know..

 

If a tree comes down and wipes out both lines , that's the only time we lose phone , if the power is just off it still works

 

It is possible they had a separate issue with the phone line too..and I have family in Canada so I know what you mean about having power outages time to time.

Just watched most of this week's black/white ep. Really cool..

 

He could easily be communicating with someone on the outside of the fence. Or even from inside the prison... remember, Tyrese and his crew gave detailed (as much as they could) plans of the how to get into the prison from the back end. The Gov. managed to get one of his men up into one of the watch towers didn't he?

I think they could have done an entire episode of nothing more than the espionage that could be going on in the background... it's like they for got an episode or something. At least show a dark shadow sneaking around in the woods or something!

 

Merle was locked up where Tyrese's group was the first time we saw him

How do we know he never left the prison? I mean, since it has show EVERYTHING of every second, right? Oh, thats right, it never showed Andrea setting up the meeting, did it? Just sayin..

You're arguments that we don't HAVE to see Merle actually communicate to be the mole means that we don't have to actually see Rick come back with the weapons and the scout sitting in a tree with binocs.
