    I do believe the zombie with the bleeding eyes died of similar causes as the kid in the shower. I don't agree with the actual zombie virus evolving. But what if it's some other kind of virus that can be spread from the dead to the living? Or maybe it can just be tied to the pig. It's not unreasonable to believe it's a virus/disease caused by close living quarters and questionable hygiene.

    obvious connections I saw: dead pig --> happy potter death --> him spitting in the water supply --> bloody eyes, nose, and ears after death --> bloody faced zombie at fence

    Also, i know it's obvious, but the crazy forest lady's rant about doing certain things to survive, like raid other people's camps, hide from those in need, etc, reflects on Rick's actions from previous seasons, while in the beginning of this season, he throws away that 1911 he found in the dirt, and wouldnt carry a gun when we went to check the traps. Maybe he's turned liberal :notsure:

    I think y'all are reading way to much into it. Rick saw what Carl had turned into, he saw what the world around him had turned into. The fear of turning into the governer.

    He is just kind of zoning out, trying not to have to deal with it all, and right now, he doesn't have to because there are enough other people, and the council, to handle everything.

    If he straps on the gun, he is gearing up for a fight, to kill. The knife represents survival, he doesn't want to do any more at this point.

    What we know is that whatever it was is just killing them and NOT turning them directly (pre-death) into a zombie, because they turn after death. Some of y'all are getting a little out of hand with this.

    I think there will be some kind of epidemic that kills due to there being no medication. As another poster said, that many living in close quarters in less than sanitary conditions is a disease's dream. NOTHING more than that. Get sick, die, and turn. Thats it...
