    back to bone stock.
    the end was awesome.

about time Hershel saw the world in it's presently fucked up state. maybe he will pull his head out of his ass..but ironically, with eyes wide opened, i'm sure he would not have let the group onto his farm.

rick killed the living. he was FAST! that one fat badguy..when he said.."i havent been laid in two weeks.." i knew it was going to go down shooting. their line of questioning..asking about farms, people..i would have shot them already.

Pretty good episode. Lori can't drive, Hershel is back on booze and enlightened, and Rick is a quick draw. Those two guys deserved it. They would have been trouble.
With the whole Lori accident...I'm wondering if that's a way to write in a miscarriage :notsure:
    Thoughts?

They'll keep the baby. They'll leave the farm as soon as Lori is ok to go, following accident, Glen's gal will tag along.

I think so too. That storyline does not need to keep going IMO.

Why can't people get it that the show isn't going to be 24/7 zombie slaughter ?

I think it's the best story on tv right now

This, I don't need 5 seasons of 2005's Dawn of the Dead.

The first season roped in the wrong kind of people with all the action IMO. They were trying to set the tone of chaos and people realing in tragedy and caught on their heals. Season 2 is them adapting, being human again, and character development. They're all still strangers and were through the first season, now it's time to get to know them, and get drawn into them which will make the small amounts of action even more exciting when you actually care.

I agree, at first I was bummed about the lack of zombies but I have to agree with you. It's a damn good story they got going.

    .
Oh I agree, wouldn't be too good of a show if was just that, gotta get the character development in there, main plot, sub plots and the like. Did you watch Talking Dead last nite? The producer said they heard the criticism of too much talking too, they're promising a satisfying finish. I hope they leave the farm, there was a lot more action when they were on the run.

This is what I see happening to the farm ..
631 Seen from a great distance, the helicopter atop the mall looks
very small. Its engine dies and begins to whine.

632 A pair of binoculars is watching the action. The lenses pull
away from a pair of beady eyes.

Voice: THEY MUST GET IN THROUGH THE ROOF.

    Voice: SON OF A BITCH!

Voice: THERE'S TRUCKS BLOCKIN' ALL THE ENTRANCES.

    Voice: NO SWEAT!

Voice: WHAT DO YA THINK? HIT 'EM NOW OR WAIT
    FOR TONIGHT?

    Voice: TONIGHT.

633 We see the short wave radio speaker installed in the living
space near the TV. A voice rattles over the unit:

Voice: WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE...SEEN THE WHIRLYBIRD
    ON THE ROOF.

634 Fran steps to the doorway attracted by the signal. Peter sits at
the radio, not knowing whether to send. Steve listens.

Voice: HEY, ER...COULD YA USE SOME COMPANY IN THERE?

Steve is about to say something. Peter stops him.

Voice: WE'RE JUST RIDIN' BY...WE COULD SURE USE
    SOME SUPPLIES...WHAT'S THE CHANCE US
GETTIN' IN THERE TO STOCK UP?

Peter listens intently, trying to read the voice's inflections.

Voice: HOW MANY OF YOU IN THERE, ANYWAY...THERE'S
    THREE OF US.
COULDN'T YA USE THREE MORE GUNS?

    Peter: RAIDERS.

Fran: WELL, THEY KNOW WE'RE HERE, MAYBE WE SHOULD...

    Peter: (cutting her off)
    NO CHANCE.

The little puppy scrambles up to Fran's feet, seeking attention.
She picks the little dog up in her arms.

Fran: WELL, IF THERE'S ONLY THREE OF THEM...

    Peter: WHO SAYS?

There's a long silence. The radio sputters static. Voices are
heard, but they aren't speaking into the microphone. They are
obviously conferring among themselves. Steve starts to speak,
    Peter cuts him off.

    Peter: SHHHH! QUIET!

He is trying to hear the muffled conversation.

    Fran: I THINK WE SHOULD...

Peter: JESUS CHRIST, SHUT UP AND LISTEN!

More static. Slight laughter is heard. Steve looks into Peter's
face. The bug trooper just stares at the speaker without moving.
    Finally, the voice again.

Voice: HEY...YOU IN THE MALL...YOU JUST FUCKED UP
REAL BAD! WE DON'T LIKE PEOPLE WHO DON'T SHARE.

Mark my words, those goons have a camp somewhere outside town that's going to take out the farm once the find philly boys bodies.

    I get it - Just don't like it ;-)

Yeah, this is probably my favorite show right now, at least until Breaking Bad comes back.

    Cheers.

X2--Definately cant be a zombie slaughterfest. Last nights show started to get lame with that broad flipping her car in the middle of the road. I thought it was a soft attempt at more plot line. However, the show saved itself at the end with those two guys from philly that came in the bar. The writers really had not introduced "other" survivor interaction since the beginning with the gangbangers.

This episode? How about all of them.

I like the show and I find it entertaining enough, but I suppose it is hard for an actor to summon up true convincing emotion over an idea as farfetched as zombies taken over.

HELL YEAZZZ. I was stoked when I heard the Regulator being played at the end after the badass finale. I've loved Clutch since the early 90's, glad to see them getting some recognition.

And yea, enough with the requests for 24/7 zombie killing. If you've read the comics, you'd know that the story is mainly about the people and their interactions with each other, with the zombies a close second. I like zombies as much as the next zombie afficionado, but if you want 24/7 zombie killing rent L4D for the xbox. :D

Breaking Bad is lame...too much character interaction and not enough meth making. Really wish they would just make meth the whole episode and stop taking to each other....;)

Well, after reading this thread, I finally watched the first episode on Netflix--hadn't heard about the show before (admittedly, I don't watch much TV--almost none in fact).

Excellent stuff! Glad I saw this thread.
