Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

Lol I forgot to finish my post. Earlier I posted a video of that because it's one of my favorites. I should say that even though Rick can't seem to win a fight he is vicious and that's why he's alive.

 

Rick should just bite everyones jugular out in fights from now on hahaha that fight with Pete would've been over a lot sooner

 

She saved his ass. There was no where for his tirade to go but down hill and it was well on its way to the bottom. I think she shut him up trying to save him from himself, and buy them all some time.

Carol right now is the most dangerous one of the group. Rick is all emotion, good and bad. Carol is the cold calculating killer. In the trailer she had that doctor pissing in his pants and never raised her voice.

They change things up here and there from the comic but seem to generally stick to the story line, mostly mixing up characters. I don't think the Ws are the whisperers. The clues the writers have been dropping are kind of out of character for that group.

I'm pretty much fine with the pacing of the show. To me the folks that are wanting non-stop action show an unsophisticated taste. "Real" life, even in the Zombie Apoc, is going to have relationships, social drama, and all the same crap people experience in the really real world. The writers need to do their best to tell an unbelievable story in as believable fashion as possible.

If I want non-stop action with crap blowing up left and right I'll go look up whatever turd michael bay just released.

Maybe he's going through what Michonne and Rosita are dealing ,they are getting use to living in community . Not just that but he has feelings now for Jessie . When he took a bite of Joe you could of see the rage he had when Carl was beinng handle by one of joes guys.

I would say yes we should of seen a stronger Rick since he's living now on a place where you don't need to look for your next meal. Rick could knock out the Dr. Or even kill. Just seems he dealing with a lot at the moment , don't like the way Deanna is running things.

 

As for poor taste and wanting more action: I don't just want more action, I simply want to be engaged. Seasons 1 and 2 had me at the edge of my seat, and from seasons 3 to 5 I just keep thinking to myself, "This is just filler and nothing is happening". I want more story, maybe I just need to watch them all back to back (I will when the series ends) but I'm just not thinking about the group as much as I used to. I don't know if it's my fault or the show's but I feel emotionally detached from it lately. But of course I still have opinions about characters and enjoy the show. I just feel it isn't written right.

 

You guys are my TalkingDead! I'm still loving the show, regardless if it has a lot of action or not. The episode prior to this one had a lot of action or am I the only one that thinks that?

Very true! I was and am more attached to the original cast than the new. Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Carol, Michonne (Yes, I know she's not the 'original') - if anyone of them gets killed off..I'd be sad. Maggie? Abraham? Carl? Meh. I was disappointed when T-Dawg got killed off.

Looking forward to the last episode of the season and reading the discussion that goes on in here.

 

I was just discussing with my roommate how I missed the old characters: Shane, Merle, T-Dawg, etc. They interested me much more.

 

We all miss Dale and especially Jim

 

Action doesn't have to include killing zombies imo. I am looking for a bit faster paced storytelling aside from killing zombies. To me the storyline often takes a cumbersome pace. But, like sports it is easy for me to be an armchair critic and suspect the producers struggle in finding ways to appease the masses.

Yes, but I usually catch Saul a couple days later. Staying up until 11 on a weeknight is pushing it for me.

I was skeptical that it would be as good as Breaking Bad, but so far I'm impressed. AMC is really on a roll. I even though Hell on Wheels was pretty good for what it is and I'm not usually a fan of the wild west sort of stuff. Couldn't seem to get into Mad Men, though.

 

lol, i wished rick just thumb out her eyeballs and leaver her stranded in front of some walkers. I think that would settle some feelings about the last episode.

I keep telling people that want more action to watch ZNation. That is actually a great zomebie show with more than enough action. There was probably one bad episode out of the whole season, and that's because it was a slow, filler episode.

 

During the fight, I actually think Rick was enjoying it. When he took the first punch, he smiled about it. He wanted to feel the pain, the animal instinct. He could end it whenever he wanted to, and he did just that. I didn't see the fight as him getting his ass kicked at all.

 

I think the cowardly padre is going to bite the dust in the finale.
