Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

And a little under a month and a half since they lost the prison. I was excited that Morgan came back..now I wish he hadn't lol hope next weeks episode is interesting - the first three have been awesome so far.

 

For real that baby is like 3 months old....every episode. lol

Well, I can say the show was closely following the books in the first seasons. However, the writers started kind of doing their own thing to keep up ratings and what not. So i'm sure they strayed a little from the logic in hopes they could keep the attention on the developing characters. Rather than the development of the zombies.

Basically this is a t.v. drama with zombies as a small portion of the whole show. Even though the entire show was initially about zombies.

 

I would counter that the show was never about zombies , it's about survival and zombies just happen to be one of the threats

IIRC, wasn't there a semi- "thinking" walker in Atlanta in season 1? Think it was downtown near the tank area.
There was a walker with funky eyes on the prison fence also.

 

I've been on the fence to watch the 28 days/weeks later movies. I don't like fast zombies. They freak me out too much. I've always been OK with the ones on TWD but Dawn of the Dead were too much. Shaun of the Dead was fine too and I love all the Resident Evil movies. I've heard the "28" movies are just really good and I know Danny Boyle makes a good one so I want to watch them. I'm just going to have to suck it up and watch it...in daylight.

 

the 28 Movies are great. Go watch them. Wouldn't call those zombies; more like mindless animals full of hatred and fury.

Edit: Read an article that 28 Months Later is in the works. Not filming, but working on gathering the parts that make a movie happen.

 

The walkers with the " funky eyes " at the prison had whatever that virus was that passed through

 

The dawn of the dead.. Hands down my favorite movie.. No matter how many times i watch it, it really gets my adrenaline up lol

 

I didn't care for the remake as much.

 

Danny Boyle is a fantastic director who's talents are not confined to one genre (rom coms, sci-fi, horror, etc). 28 Days is one of my fave "zombie" movies because they scare me like they do you. I know there is some debate whether they count as zombies or not. As far as I'm concerned they are close enough. But what sells this movie for me is the imagery of London being dead quiet. This was no soundstage. They shut down parts of the city. Incredible and eerie.

 

The Austin FX4 cab during the underpass scene was a joke.

 

For those wondering about the stairs...

 

Yeah, they should have headed up the stairs.

 

Or just climbed the stupid fence on the left into the woods, takes like 2 seconds.

 

Or maybe get under those barrels containers and just walk under then like they here

 

Definitely can't wait til Sunday to see how this story plays out if in fact it does continue on Sunday and not next year.

 

Sundays episode will be 1.5 hrs long

 

Hopefully not a 1hr Morgan snooze fest, I wanna see some skull bashing.
