Maybe the black smoke monster will show up in the next episode and pull Rick and Shane down into the ground?

I thought when you got the virus you started to run a high fever and that is what killed you and then the virus reanimated your body.

I think that still holds true, but like gooch had originally stated, maybe some folks don't reanimate. Maybe they just die from the fever.

See I think that's a lil to short not by much but short since they barely talking of winter I would be thinking more are 5-7 months since Rick woke up who know how long he was in his coma

I was thinking at least 3 months. Especially since the FEMA place wouldn't run out of power in a matter of weeks. They would have to be stocked for at least a few months before getting low.

For the dead people in the car, it could have been caused by getting in a fatal car accident or suicide by overdose.

wouldn't Rick die of dehydration if his comma lasted over a month without care or maintenance.

we need a nurse or Medic to let us in on IV usage. When Shane was in the room and barricaded him in his IV was near full...how long till it's empty? How long until you dehydrate in coma like living 4 days? 5 days? Rick wasn't out for a month following shane's visit. If something like this takes off exponentially you'd be surprised how fast things go to shit with looters and whatnot. And I don't think FEMA would have months worth of supplies, I'd bet they'd have days worth of fuel and expect to be able to get refills from local places or have it trucked in. The idea is nobody was prepared for this, caught off guard and thusly the world went to hell in a hurry.

I just grabbed these rates from another site. They look about right though from the medical knowledge I have and being bored in hospitals watching the IV drips.
Generally IV bags are 1000ml. I am going to use the 1000ml bag of saline with 45drops/ml and at a 32 drop/min rate.

    45*1000= 45000 drops per bag.
    45000/32= 32,000 minutes----- basically 533 hrs/ 1000ml bag..

this doesn't seem right.... waiting for a medic/nurse/doc to come in and correct me....

You would think Rick would have been in a coma for a decent amout of time before Shane started plowing his wife right? Unless Carl is actually Shane's son and she's been banging Shane a long time. Either way Rick knows something nobody else knows. Jenner told him something and he hinted that in the walky talky at the beginning of the season.

But they were smart enough in season 1 to break the glass to the department store by using a rock or block or something.

Accidental. They won't make these zombies into the thinking variety. Reaching down and pressing the button to release the seat belt is way past their level of thought or reason.

I wanna know why there were dead people in the cars on the highway that hadn't turned into walkers or been eaten
