Yea, the commercial time being outrageous def. not limited to TWD. I don't remember if disarming was in the source material (y'know what I'm saying) or not but a shrewd move, I guess it was, everybody else is using swords and makeshift stuff. Ugh, this is rough.
Since I don't remember......I'm guessing Eugene supplies Negan with bullets for 'something special'.

 

eh it was slow...real world soon as Negan gave Rick the bat he would have got clobbered. WD world its ok for Rick to be submissive right now as the season finale will prob have him go full RICK mode and find Lucille up Negans cornhole. Then Maggie comes in with the death kill holding Glen jr.

They really are dragging it out ....

 

I think they're going a little overboard with Negan.....yah we already know he's a badass nutjob. They don't have to inject that into every freakin' scene. Such a snoozer.

 

Seems that they had enough guns to take out Negan and his partial crew when they showed up at the gate.

 

Right, it could have been an all out massacre of the Saviors. OK as soon as I snipe Negan from the church tower, everyone else attacks.

And how were there Alexandria people who didn't know who Negan was?

 

They didnt have this much trouble with the "governor" and they had less guns and less people....

Negan IS over the top....they need to keep him around. It's good for the show. You just THINK it's slow.
I have decided to quit posting about all the dumb shit they do that looks unbelievable and would have cost no more to do right .....I hope I can hold up.
It's harder than quitting smoking.

I'm starting to feel bad for the zombies. They're getting down to cameo appearances.

 

I agree. It's unbalanced right now. The writing in the seasons with the Governor were better. I don't like that we got to the point in TWD where every Sunday, we're all collectively saying to ourselves and whoever is sitting there watching with us, "This better not be another boring episode..." And it is, and we trudge on to the next Sunday repeating the same mantra.

 

really, they could all rot away and the show could keep going @ this point. I always liked "The Road". Very slow but kinda like TWD w/o zombies.

 

And I had found those seasons slow(farm and prison) kinda goes to show how hard it is to keep a show going for this many years and keep your core interested. Hard to please everybody all the time.....I like slow builds, hell I liked Mad Men but couldn't rec'd it to people who weren't already a fan. I knew they'd say it was a snoozefest. It was. I just grew up knowing characters exactly like them.
That's the thing about character studies, you have to relate closely. If you don't agree with the protagonists actions it's hard to stay on board. I never really found Rick to be a badass (Shane!) He just rose to the occasion after much contemplation of the situation. Remember Carol got them out of Terminus.
I take some of that back....when Coral was under threat he went wildman pretty quick.
OZ is right about this, it's only 3 eps. in and Negan is an all season+ part. Can't kill him first chance he had, so really they shouldn't make it look so easy to do. Shit....relapse....argh.

 

Rick has yet to learn of the Kingdom, this is all just a baseline of things to come and I for one am enjoying it.
