Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

Me too. FTWD sucks but TWD better pick it up too as some of these "stories" are borderline boring. Negan introduction is great and the Tara story this past weekend was actually good but expanding TWD universe with more communities and more people is slowing the story to a drag in places. Still a viewer but its missing the cutting edge it had in first 2 seasons.

 

Could not agree more. That made zero sense and I actually liked most of this episode.

 

They were never planning on taking her back. They opened fire on her and she ran. What are y'all missing here

 

FWIW - and I'm not spoiling anything with book knowledge - this "Oceanside" group does not exist in the book. To me it feels like the writers forgot about Tara and Heath (hence the 9 episodes that have happened since we last saw them) and came up with this stupid side plot to catch them back up to where everyone else is. Just kill off the fat and get back to what made this show so good in the first few seasons

 

Uh...because she ran, that's why they shot at her. They could have killed her anytime, why bother with the pretense of walking her out.

Totally agree with you. And I hit send too fast above. I thought it would have been a good ending with Tara if they shot her and Heath turns into a walker. Now we have another fucking community, Tara with a secret (and 30 pounds heavier??) and Heath apparently kidnapped by who the fuck knows.

Narrow the focus, trim the fat and have Negan knock off the bit players and lets get back to the edginess of this series.

The ocean group may be alone, but in a silent world (no planes flying, no traffic kind of noise), you'd think the sound of gunfire would be pretty distinct and would carry for miles. Even if you didn't know where it was coming from, it'd let you know people were out there.

 

I thought she walked over to the walker in the tree to kill it and they put their sights on her and that's when she took off? The one chick also said in her way too long speech that there was no way they could let her go and put their community in jeopardy right before she was tackled...

Tara was also already fat before she went on her mission they were just keeping her in baggy clothes and filming her at odd angles. She was pregnant most of last season...

I would've liked that episode a lot more if Heath was a zombie and I didn't get the fake out

Hmmm, I need to rewatch that then. I simply thought they were going to take out the walker if she missed/hesitated. I didn't see any "looks in the eye" from anyone wanting to kill her. Could be man..

I agree..stop with the fake outs. and those two were recently dead...where did they come from? they didn't wander onto the bridge, they had to have jumped and scavenged as well..or part of the kidnapping of Heath..not liking the lack of ending for the sake of lack of endings.

this world needs more killings and thinning of the herd. Looks like all these communities will eventually ban together to take out Negan...might be 2 more seasons worth of "lack of endings"

 

Heath will end up back in the storyline and I was also thinking that the grandma said all the men were killed but they also "lost" others like Cindy's mom

I was wondering if Negan took Cindy's mom as a bride and she might be in the future storyline too

 

They saw the tree walker and all stopped , other broad pulled her knife and was looking at Tara at which point she figured out they were going to off her , so she said " I got it " and moved towards the tree walker then ran

 

Yes, they were all shot in the head. Brutal. Would have been an interesting and emotional flashback to show the viewer...something to keep the hate on Negan as we navigate some of these stories..

 

Gotcha. makes sense then. Wife and I missed that subtlety.

Maybe they lined them up on the bridge & dumped the sand on them after they were shot but then again why would the Saviors even worry about covering them up.

 

Point is they couldn't be walkers if they were shot in the head

Sand walkers were just another interesting way to die in the series that really didn't die. Lots of examples...one of my faves was the fat bloated walker on Herschel's farm stuck in the well. Nice.
