In most zombie literature they are slow to rot due to an enzyme the virus releases, they can last much longer than normal, but not indefinitely. And, given the population of zombies versus humans, and the constant fact that the zombies are always replenishing their ranks, the zombie horde could be around much longer than the humans.

    Catching up:

I don't think Rick 'pussied out' with not shooting Randall, I think Carl's coldness made him realize what Dale was saying, that losing all civility will make you cold and dead inside and he didn't want to be come that. Rick is already riding the morality fence as it is Dale vs. Shane is what is/was keeping him there, with no Dale, Rick may be more impressionable.

I like the ideas of Daryl being ambushed by a walker and not having his gun and that being the trigger for Carl's little adventure and where the walker came from. I also really like the idea of Meryl being in Randell's old gang and him being spared due to Ricks new conscience someone how gets the group together for bad or good (not sure which yet)

I think Shane is the next to go. "This group is broken" and without the other side to Shane (Dale) keeping some sort of balanace it's only going to get more 'broken' and so I'd say they'll off him next, maybe he'll even be killed without a head wound and then come back as a walker:eek:

I hope they don't start making thinking zombies, that would just be dumb. Maybe a residual memory for some basic directional rememberance, but that should be it. As soon as the zombies knock on the door to the farm house and respond with 'Candy-gram' when Rick asks 'Who is it?', I'm turning the shit off.

And in regards to the zombie Seal that got Dale. There's nothing to say the zombie didn't attack the cow, and it walked off ahead of the walker and fell over dead and the walker was just catching up. Dale just got in the middle of a hungry zombie, and its recently tipped dinner.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
possibly, but you would think that upon walking up, Dale would have seen the cow when it went down or even the zombie for that matter. maybe if the gutted cow had a running start, collapsed, then a few minutes passed as Dale walked up and was observing, then...BAM!!! zombie

like in the dawn of the dead remake. They were creatures of habit and even in 'death' continue to visit the places that they frequented in life. Muscle memory even when the muscle is decaying. I do not want 'smart' zombies as well, Land of the Dead was a joke, Day of the Dead (remake) was pretty decent.

There is truth to this because the Black man's wife kept returning to his house in the first season.

This makes sense since in the first season the guys wife came back to the house they were staying in and tried to open the door. They had the barricade the door so she wouldn't just walk right in. She probably instinctively knows to go there since she was living in the house before she was turned.

I'm leaning more towards steak sauce.

if that zombie was worth his weight in brains he'd know that a well cooked steak doesn't need sauce.

Even my wife who doesn't watch the show that often or care for this type of genre watched last night and twice with Carl and Dale asked, "why the fuck don't they have the buddy system? And what kind of shitty mom lets her lil kid roam through the woods alone ina zombie apocalypse?"

Dale was stupid, he's dead because he was stupid.

yeah what happened to Carl? first hes the good sheriffs kid, the next he's stoning a stuck zombie to death. i was waiting for carl to get stuck in the mud to and have to spent the night scared shitless face to face with the walker.
before that he threw a low blow to sophia's mom who is still in mourning telling her heaven is made up.
