Because it has good source material, has decent characters, uses pretty good actors and nothing else is on.

Someone mentioned 'A Team' earlier. Do you know how many people watched that every week? We just didn't have the internet to rag on it. Water cooler talk was shows back then got tore up at my workplace. 'Dallas' wasn't spared.

All it takes is some attention to detail to make it better. It's been done. I know it's possible.

Carl shooting with the wrong eye once is just a funny blooper. Carl running around like he has a right eye is silly.

    Yea. I read it.
I'm surprised and relieved they didn't overdue it on spinoffs, they did Fear and left it at that. That's not typical Hollywood and I'm thankful.

We can always make a 'TWD haters only thread' or 'Lovers only' thread (that doesn't sound right, I know) and I know neither one will get much input. And don't get me wrong, I love TWD and point out things I like about the show.

I see politics threads on other forums I'm on and it always winds up one sided, ganging up up (ha) on dissent, and not worth reading.
Preaching to the choir isn't much fun.

that would be a pretty 'real life' scenario. I suspect the garbage people boobied the booby trap.

I like TWD and will watch it until it's canceled, but the ending of the last episode was simply lame. The Hilltop and the Kingdom happen to show up at the same time, right before Carl is killed? The tiger mauls Saviors and leaves all friendlies alone?
I understand that this is a post-apocalyptic television show about zombies and I'm not judging it for being unrealistic. I will, however, judge it for being lazily written. It brings me back to Dallas' season 9, which ended by stating the whole season was all a dream of one of the characters and thus annulling all events that had taken place.

Tiger is from the comics, I'm glad they kept it in as irrational as it is. After the back lash of the deer, they seemed to really want the scene to look good also.
Zombies always are top notch, you can tell a LOT of money is spent on that.
I do have to realize there is a budget. More CGI and fighting in an episode means less zombies.

Maybe it would help if Gimple would quit promising "bigger, faster, better" all off season while still having to keep the show in the black which means unfortunately not only below budget but an actual investment.

I would love for Frank Darabont to be able to chime in. I have a feeling it would be a Come to Jesus moment.

And also......sorry guys, I'm recovering from rotator cuff and have really nothing to do but stare at a computer or tv all day right now. I'm know I'm ranting.

I do see though the TWD dedicated sites are having a lot of turmoil too.

I was thinking maybe Gregory paid the Saviors a visit and exposed the plan and who it involved, then Negan was introduced to the garbage gang and the deal was struck. I was under the impression the Heapsters had not had contact with the Saviors yet when they first met Rick but they could have been lying about that too. Not sure Gregory himself would know even where the dump was located. I'm sure we'll find out what happened to Gregory early into the next season, which usually starts around October.

If the haters didn't watch the show religiously anymore, how would they know they still hate it?

Speaking of the "A Team", my wife made me go to a comic con once (and last time hopefully) and Dirk Benedict was there. The line for autographs was long so it gave everyone a chance to gawk at passersby and watch Dirk and what an absolute trainwreck he is.

Before he started signing he insisted on cleaning his hands so his assistant gave him some hand gel. He squirted it on his hands and it must have been the kind that smells like vodka and he got pissed at the assistant! Saying shit like "you know I'm recovering and this stuff is gonna make me want a drink now".

He ended up getiing some lotion to cover the smell, but damn if that wasn't weird. He was in a shitty mood like he didn't want to be there.

He was also ranting about the reboot of Battlestar Galactica and his displeasure with the Starbuck character being a woman.

It was worth the $10 to get the autograph for the f'ed up drama alone!

Good thing Jan-Michael Vincent wasn't there. Or maybe too bad he wasn't there also.

Now that TWD season is over.

My Dad loved The A Team. I thought it was for George Peppard but he told one time when I was ragging him that he liked Mr.T.
It was then I realized 13 yr. olds really do know everything.
