If it’s any point in time before now, why has he never mentioned this other group. And how did he travel from ATL to either TX or Cali to meet the Fear group and come back to VA (right?). Seems more plausible he leaves now and meets up with them. I just don’t think the timeline is going to make sense regardless how they try. They should’ve gone with Abraham before he showed up with Eugene

 

I think Morgan gets killed.

 

I would say since Morgan mentioned seeing whispers and the whispers are coming to FWD then I would say it is before Alexandria.

 

When did he hear whispers?

 

After he arrived at Alexandria when he and Rick spoke about where he had been Morgan said he saw people doing strange things like wearing walker skin.

 

Or actually was that when Rick was stabbed by Morgan when he was crazy while Michone & Carl went to the Bar for his family picture.

I just remembered him mentioning it at some point.

 

I don’t think they will go back in time on TWD. If they do anything they will jump ahead on FTWD.

Just my thinking. Who actually knows. I’m glad the last couple episodes were a little more action packed. I just got caught up last night. I was out of town the last two weeks.

 

It was in the episode ‘Clear’ which aired before the whisperers storyline hit the books so, according to Gimple, was an unrelated accidental line. Morgan said “people wearing dead people’s faces”...

Maybe they just use the coinicedence to fit them in with the crossover...

I’m in the “Morgan goes west before Alexandria” camp. After Rick leaves him the first season, we don’t see him again until Rick runs into Crazy Morgan while looking for guns and ammo. Then we don’t see Morgan again until he starts shadowing everyone as they go to Terminus. Not sure of the time lapse, but it seems like he would have had time (after he lost his son...is that why he went a little crazy?) to begin his pilgrimage, meet the Cheesemaker, and then head out for parts unknown (west?) before the crew made it to Terminus.

Whereas TWD has been moving at a slower pace, maybe this season of FTWD moves faster, covering more time, which would (or could) eventually bring them up to the same time as TWD. More crossovers?

The only way I could see him leaving the current time period of TWD and showing up on FTWD is if Fear has a huge time jump to the same time as Walking and then the hole season is a series of flashbacks to bring the storyline up to date time wise.

But what do I know.? Right?

 

The producers originally said Fear would not have a time jump. Of course, they can lie...

I think TWD is about to have a time jump though. It’s already been hinted with all the “Old Man Rick” flash forwards and even Negan in the garden a couple episodes ago. In the book (not really a spoiler spoiler warning) after the war with Negan there is a substantial time jump and all future storylines are with Old Man Rick and (RIP) an older Carl. Fear would have to time jump many many years to catch up and that would be really dumb to follow a group for the first few months of the zombie apocalypse and then just assume everything was peachy for 4+ years before shit hits the fan again...

I am glad you got to rewatch it and enjoy it more the 2nd time. I actually prefer FTWD these days over TWD. I just like the storylines a bit more and the characters have really grown on me. It seems to be written more realistic, which is probably due to no source comic material before it. That is one of the hurdles for TWD. It has a source material to loosely follow so it can't be completely original all the time.

 

There is not much left to the source material considering how far the story line has drifted from the comic. And how most of the characters that are still alive on the show have died in the comic and vice versa.

 

Two hours tonight. Looks like game on at the old Hilltop. Will they reach some finality to this banality? Lets hope so.

 

If it’s not the battle for hilltop I’m done for the season. I’ll wait til next season starts and binge the rest of this season.

I’ve got a feeling that tonight neegan will meet his maker. Just a feeling. I know how the comics go.. I seriously think that they are going to do something that folks don’t expect to get the ratings up.

 

With the flash forwards already shown this season and Negan gardening with a child (either Judith or the baby girl from the Sanctuary outpost that Rick stole) I think it’s a safe bet he doesn’t die

 

He is going to get locked up!

 

I think that is going to be a dream manifested by Rick. Jefferey dean Morgan is in a lot of movies coming up and I know that some folks are jumping ship (Maggie being one of them that’s up in the air)

I just don’t see Rick’s character letting him live. It’s gonna be a tough sell to the audience in my opinion.
