Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

That was a surprise. Really thought he was going to be one of the major stars going forward.

 

Never know with this show whose gonna bite the dust next.

 

So apparently something has happened to cause some serious trust issues between the groups. Surrender all weapons before being allowed to enter hilltop? Jeez. And now negan is looking to get back into old habits.

 

Has to do with Negan being alive I'd be willing to bet. After Rick was MIA, I imagine his captivity even more in jeopardy.

Really...how did that go down even if not the big wedge?

Who else has the X besides Michonne? I forget now. Anyone outside of Alexandria? Or the inner circle of the originals?

 

Daryl and Michonne are the only two theyve shown with the X.

Jesus left because the actor wanted to pursue other opportunities. Seems silly seeing as how he was slated to be one of the main characters. Maybe he will be successful elsewhere.

I too am itching for the backstory on why everyone has beef now.

I wish they had kept the whisperers mysterious a little bit longer.. but i am excited for that story line. The directing seems to be improving. Last night was actually entertaining.

 

Ah yea, That's right. So another Rick close member who presumably (?) was still based out of Alexandria, teamed up with Michonne, before he went off looking for Rick's body.

Gabriel mentioned "One of us has to always guard you", I wonder if that refers to the 'X"?

I do realize though that Maggie had her shot and forgave the group (or maybe just Rick) for instead giving a life sentence, I don't have any rationale for her being estranged now for the same reason.

I may be way off base.

It was mentioned that Maggie is with the 'Comonwealth' (?) people so it doesn't seem to have been a feud with them. (Although this is another can of worms for the story line if Rick AND Maggie are there.)

What's up with Oceanside? Wasn't the last storyline them executing a Saviour? I s'pose they could have have declared war on all remaining Saviors (Negan incl.) and it led to X's being craved but they would have been defeated much easier than that I would think?

I hope the answer doesn't just come out of left field. We haven't heard of any other group in the meantime. Just unease.

Yea, time will tell if this is a good move or not. I think Reedus learned you never look a gift horse.
Yes, it was entertaining. They promised a different feel, there is one here. Didn't get it from Fear (not entirely true, there was a change, just not what was promised IMO) but that season may have already been cast in stone before the big leadership shakeup.

 

The story on Maggie is she wanted the same money per episode as Andrew Lincoln and other leading men, she and the show, apparently could not reach an agreement. Poof Maggie is gone, the story line explanation in the show is lame.

 

Oh. Not good. I thought the money question was settled and they (Talking Dead) were just being sly about whether she shows up again or not.

Kind of hard to write around a character you don't know is coming back or not.

I don't think a show like this is one to demand a raise from. (especially since ratings are not steady) You do it for fun and fame or catch a trail.

Welp, so long then....I guess I remember hearing Hardwick talking something about when he knew what about who on TD. Didn't pay much attn. but seems to align with what ya'll are saying.

 

Some entertainment sites have also quoted Lauren saying she would be open to making a return appearance at a later time.

 

Like when this new show gets cancelled.

There is always that possibility. She does seem to be one of the few cast members that have had additional opportunities outside of TWD. I know that the gal that plays Michonne seems to stay pretty busy as well.

 

I liked the mid-season finale. I am glad Negan is free to begin anew... well in his fashion anyway. I am glad that he didn't go back in the cell after getting the tennis ball, like so many similar scenes in past film set ups.

The beef with everyone seems to be related to the "Articles of Alexandria" or whatever it was that Michonne was working on just before Rick "died". After that event, she probably wrote in a bunch of stuff about protecting their own and stuff like that.

Well, Hey Suess is gone now. I guess we're stuck with fat Tara as the standing authority at Hill Top. That place seems like such a downer, I'd rather be at the Kingdom or Alexandria.

In the previews for the rest of the season, it looks like Negan goes back to the Sanctuary. I wonder how he will build up his group again if all the leftovers are dead? The ones that were only there via fear have integrated into the other communities. Won't it be hard to start his world from scratch?

 

Its gone totally SJW for sure. Notice how the women are cast as the warriors/leaders and the majority of the men are mostly little bitches on the show, which is why it now sucks so much.

 

I stopped watching at the end of last season and I am glad I did. FWD started out awesome then I lost interest in that one after two seasons.
