Does anyone make a USB hub for that location? I notice you are having to use the port after looping from inside.

I have been looking for something to manufacture and sell. I just have no idea what is most needed.

I had thought about cup holders or possibly somewhere for a trash bin. There is almost nothing to do with trash in this truck. Maybe a glove box modification?

    *Thumbs up*

Yeah those adapters are a little janky. Like anything else all personal preference, I don’t like anything too big, even the 32 Oz is a little big, and only use it on road trips, around town have another 20 Oz that I rather use, plus keep a jug of water in the back of the truck and refill it at stops.

Have been on a couple R&D projects over the years making tool prototypes. Yeah not cheap and a lot of time involved. Honestly don’t think $65 is all that bad for what it took to go into it.

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand how simple plastic products are designed and created using 3rd world manufacturing and modern container shipping. And the associated costs. This isn't a high-tech device that cures cancer. It is literally a piece of molded plastic.

You could 3D print this for pennies in material, but do you want to take the time to do the measurements and print multiple prototypes to get everything just right? And don't forget for a car you want it in an engineering resin that can take summer heat, or a CF filled plastic. I'm not saying you can't do it, I'm just saying personally, if I needed this as a one-off, I'd pay the premium because my To Do list is long enough already.

Wouldn’t take too long. Designed my own adapter for the cup holder to go to a can in about 25 minutes. This would take me maybe 2 hours. PETG or ABS filament has limited to no warping up to 110 degrees.

Deal! Print me one for $90. According to you, you'd be making an exorbitant profit.

2 keys... make it look factory quality and be ready to address fitment issues and provide some warranty against manufacturer defects.

You know, I’m tempted to take ya up on that

Point understood tho. Wasn’t so much trashing on it, just more so what I’d do. I do also have the advantage of owning all the equipment, having the experience and knowledge to make it and design it in a low amount of time. Which, a company has to pay for.

Mine was delivered today, I can't wait to install it! Being from Oregon, I'm a staunch Hydroflask user and I love my wide-mouth. I'm stoked to finally find an OEM looking solution for fitting it in the cup holder.

Hence the beauty of capitalism. If you identify an underserved market where you can supply it with a cheaper product have at it

Hope you're not selling to people in Texas. It's supposed to be a hundred degrees here today. My truck will easily exceed 110 in the Sun

I’m Canadian. Wasn’t planning on making it a mass produced product. Could always go to a higher temp print material as well. Just what I’d personally do.

What if you used a Velcro strip? Or design some thing that attaches to your fav coffee container, and is used to mate to and hang on some mount attached to the dash or the door.... Or...or...or the A pillar?
