Will have little aftermarket support I think.

To me this will be like the Ford Raptors, driveway queens.

    ZR2 Advantages:

    V6 HP 308 (Tacoma 278)

    V6 Torque 275 (Tacoma 265)

    Diesel Option 181HP, 369 Torque (Tacoma N/A)

Transmission 8 Speed (Tacoma 6 speed)

Front and Rear lockers. Rear locker can be engaged in any driving mode which allows for high speed off-roading like in dunes. Front locker can only be engaged in 4 low. (Tacoma has rear locker only and can only be engaged in 4 low)

Suspension- This is still to be tested but initial reviews seem to be really positive for what GM did with the suspension on this truck. http://www.autoblog.com/2016/11/16/2017-chevy-colorado-zr2-supercar-suspension-details/

Clearances- Eye ball test looks as if the ZR2 has better ground clearance and approach/departure angles but the official measurements around out yet. (At least I haven't seen it yet.)

Brakes- Discs front and rear. (Tacoma drum brakes in rear)

    Tacoma Advantages:
    Manual Option

Unknowns: Resale Values, Reliability, MPGs, Pricing, Gearing Ratios

    Subjective: Style and option preferences

Note: Colorado also surpasses Tacoma on Towing and Payload capacities on standard models but these capacities are both reduced on these particular model vehicles (I assume) due to off-road tuned suspension. Correct me on this one if I am wrong though.

Nothing there is really substantial though. It's a wash imo, 15 hp there, 1 inch there, discs are only needed if towing, etc

One of the reasons I chose Toyota and the tacoma was aftermarket support. I remember reading a thread about why people chose their truck and many people also said after market support.
