Yes... So what your saying is to cut into the tube and send a long tab all the way through and weld from the front and rear on the tube?

That's what I did when I built my rear bumper.

Sub'd just to see how badass this will be once it's done. Also curious if you're going to powder coat it, paint, line-x...

Thats correct. It is generally frowned upon to surface only weld a tow/recovery points due to possible injury in the event of failure. You'd certainly be much better off removing and re-doing them IMO. You'll just need to find some long enough to go all the way through your tube and weld on the front as well as the back side. That way they're locked into holes for side loading, and then you'd have twice the weld surface required to fail before the recovery point could rip out

I going to sand blast it once I'm done and probably use rustolium spray on bed liner. The bed liner should give it a textured finish how ever if I'm not happy with that I might have it powered coated down the road.

I had my bumper powder coated in a texture powdercoat. Used the bed liner spray and it doesn't hold up well at all fwiw. If you do decide to use bed liner spray, make sure to use auto primer, gives you the best chance for the bedliner spray to stick.

I just need to know A,B,C and D and I can design my angle iron mounting arms. Then I will weld the 4x4 to it. I cannot wait to cut my bedsides...o_O2.jpg

Seeing a vendor that actually offers this specific piece of armor come in and offer advice to a DIYer instead of critically critique their attempt or try to push their product is all I need to know about that vendor. Kudos to you for being providing a great line of products and motivating others to do the same. I do not have any of your products but you will be my first choice of any of my future needs. Mad props to you sir. You will be my recommendation to anyone looking for armor strictly based on what you have provided in this thread. Sorry for the thread jack OP, just wanted to give credit where it was due.

How much did it run you to get the bumper powder coated?

Just over 200 for the powder coat and burned off the old bed liner in a big oven.
