I want to buy a new music player and i'm not sure if i should buy the zune hd or the new ipod touch. I have an ipod now and i hate going through itunes to load music. I can't seem to be able to make sub-folders in my music section eventhough I made one by mistake when I first got it, I can't seem to replicate what I did. I'll probably buy a ipod touch for my daughter because she wants one for christmas but for myself i'm really not sure.
Can you give me your thoughts on which on to buy?
    Thanks

I have a 1st gen Zune and I love it, but it really sucks that there are no direct interfaces made for Zune. You are basically stuck with using the AUX in, if you want to play it on your car stereo.

I'm not a fan of Itunes, but I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a 32GB iPhone 4, and it will double as my MP3 player too.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I personally like the Ipod over the Zune there is more compatible products IE Ipod controlling head units and home docks. And not to mention the Ipod looks a lot better then the Zune.

Just think of the war of BluRay & HD/DVD that's how Ipod & Zune is. Everyone is on board with Ipod and not so much with the Zune. And look who won in the end. BluRay!

I tunes is a really simple program to use. I know Apple dumbs it down for PC but Ive never had problems.

A coworker and I bought MP3 players at the same time about 2 years ago. He got a zune, and I got a touch. My touch is still a fantastic device that I use daily. He has hated his zune since he got it, and in fact, he just ordered a new touch.

I would much rather go with the Ipod Touch over the Zune, but the Iphone is way better than both cause the Iphone can do everything that the Ipod Touch can plus it is a phone.

Go with the ZuneHD. You can sign up for unlimited music rather than having to pony up $2 per song. If you do that you get 10 songs per month you can download DRM free, which mean you can keep them after you stop subscribing.

It's on my list. With its embedded HD radio and screen it just kicks ass.
If you have an aftermarket stereo you can buy modules for it just like for the ipod.

zune hands down man. the new hd has a larger, higher quality display than the itouch and overall i like the formatting more. the best part is not having to deal with itunes though; they are continuing to become more and more invasive to the point where they can now remove music or video files they considered to be illegally acquired.

iPod Touch, and learn how to use it so you can make folders, playlists, etc. Once you set up iTunes, it works well. I was completely opposed to anything Apple for years, but got the Touch as a gift and forced myself to learn iTunes. Actually it's a really decent tool for organizing everything once you get the hang of its features.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like the ipod is more popular. I'm just wondering if it's easier to make sub-folders with zune since i can't make any with my ipod. I want to go in music, make a folder for a band let's say Rush and then make sub-folders for every album they have, so that I can access only the album that I want. I can't do this with my ipod but can someone tell me if it can be done with zune? Or if someone can tell me how to do it with my ipod I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

Just do this in iTunes and it will categorize on your iPod when you sync it up. Works great for me.

zune software automatically creates sub folders for each artist. i've had an 80gb zune 2 for a couple years and have never had any issues and i listen to it on average about 4-5 hours a day. the battery is still strong as well.
