I'm not disagreeing what so ever I just think the relation on gvm vs unsprung/rotational mass isn't the most accurate statement it all.

That's why the G003's are on there. I went from a 285 duratrac on a fuel wheel which weighed the better part of 80lbs which is now about the same as my present 295's on T8's felt no difference when I made the change. Weight is a huge aspect most don't consider.

Dang that’s unfortunate. I don’t live in an area that sees snow, but occasionally (rarely) ice; and I was hoping to have the comfort of knowing my tire could handle that. The weight of the Mickeys really isn’t something I want to throw on either. Suppose I’ll have to do some more research

Fair enough. Those T8 are pretty light. Great looking wheel too!

Was there a noticeable difference in how it drives now that you switch over. Does it feel heavier and did it impact your mpg? I been thinking about switching over from 285/70r17 to 295/70r17. I feel like the 285s are a little small. Last question, did you have to do alot to fit the 295s? As in more trimming, alignment, etc. Thanks in advanced.

Honestly 285/75 will be the next move rather than 295/70 the difference between the 2 is hardly noticeable

285/70 on right, 295 middle, and 285/75 left?

Only looking at the 2 mt's 285 right 295 left

To comment further about fitment, as far as I know these will not fit without a chop or an insanely agressive alignment and not much offset

It honestly doesn’t feel any different from my last set of 285 ridge grapplers. My 285’s were non LT tires so I thought it was going to feel a lot heavier and stiffer going to 295’s and LT tires. I feel like my ride height went up noticeable. Only differences in mpg is like .2-.3 if that.
I alrdy had a BMC and pinch wield done. I’m still able to do u turns without rubbing. I went off roading a few times after the new tires and haven’t noticed any rubbing so far. My offset on wheels are -10 so that helps too, it’s not an aggressive off set. I highly recommend making the switch to 295s!

My wheel offset is -10 I have pinch wells and cab mount chop already done. I guess this will probably be my set up once the tires I have wears out. It should be an easy swap. Thank you for your feedback it's very much appreciated.

I believe alot of other brands does seem bigger. For example the mickey thompson at is rated at 33.7 for diamter from what I read, correct me if I'm wrong but most are 33.3.

I just want a slightly bigger tire size than my 285/70r17 because they do look small. If only I can be able to do a test fit with 295/70 and 285/75 that will determine my next set up.

    Hey everyone!

Is anyone running these tires with Ironman UCA’s?

The parts I have so far are:

    6112 / 5160 Combo
    OME Rear Leaf Pack
Cab mount chop, pinch weld folded, and some minor trimming to the fender and custom wheel liners (Had a Toyota 4X4 shop do this for me)
295/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Tires
    17X8.5 -10 Falcon T2 Wheels

here’s a photo with the 265/70’s on the stock suspension!

Out of curiosity have you checked the weight on thst tire? Unless it's a typo it's 7lbs heavier than my G003's.

I'm curious if they just overstate everything as a 295 true to size is 33.3 which is a long wsy from a 34

Right, I never understood rounding it up. Lots of people calling 285’s 33’s when it’s not, depending on the sidewall ratio I suppose but most times nope lol
