Any advice on how to properly seat and clamp down a topper?

Never took it off for 12 years or so... and now that I've taken it on and off a couple of times I can never get it to line up properly (eg one back corner, where the glass closes with the handle, is gaped and semi-tough to close compared to the other back corner)

nice pics Adam. seat covers look good even the ones bolted to the bed. truck is looking bad ass each and every day. keep it up man.thanks again for helping on how to post pics. i finally got everything to work out and completely redone my build page with a lot more description and pic's of the truck. i have go a question for u though, i am wanting to lift the back end up a little more compared to the front end (which ull see on the build) with having the dakar leaf pack in the back would the adjustable greasable shackles work just as good as anything else or what. whats ur take on this? i really dont want to spend a lot of $$$ but want to do it right and not have to ever do it again if u know what saying. does the camper and all the things on top of it making it lean like this or what? that is what people are telling me and i kinda see it now. at first i thought no way it couldn't be that but now i think about it probably is. and one other question. i am wanting to do the grey wire mod but what all goes into it to do this mod so i will know. again Adam thanks for the advice and all i appreciate it.

OME greasable shackles won't give you any additional lift. They are stock height. You can get a little more height with a taller shackle. If you don't have it yet, I would get the D6XL AAL for the Dakars. That will help a lot with the sag and give about 1" of lift.

I have not done the grey wire mod so I'm not the one to ask on that. Seems simple enough and there are lots of writeups on how to do it.

Hey Adam did you order the "standard 2'' width relocation plates" from 4crawler? I plan on ordering a set asap. I was going to go with Sky mfg but they are a bit cheaper over at 4crawler. I stuffed my rear tire 2 weekends ago and rubbed pretty hard in the front of the wheel well.
    Thanks!

Yes they are the standard ones. The ones from Sky MFG will work just as well.

Finished up the mods to my bedrack and got the tent mounted up in prep for an upcoming trip. Raised the rack about 6" so my fridge on a new custom slide will fit a bit better underneath.

nice...still looks like a decent height..not too high

foresee any issue with the sides angling in with storage? probably not due to the wheel wells taking up the space under the sides already right?

Yeah, I'm happy with the height. Still very close to even with the roofline which was the goal.

The sides are more vertical now than they were before so It's an improvement. The only thing that tall that goes back there is the fridge. All other gear is compact enough that it can find a place pretty easily.

Nice mod to the rack! Awesome having the fridge back there. It gave me room in the cab for passengers and dry storage. Great job yet again! Drove my truck twice last week and got three compliments on the rear bumper.
