    Hi Guys...

So, my starter is going bad. It's been slowly dying since summer before last. If it doesn't start, I just give it a few taps with my ice scraper and we're back in business. Honestly, I don't know how much longer it will last. These days it starts on it's own without the tapping only about 25% of the time.

The reason I'm writing is that I keep reading on the forum that I should have it repaired rather than replaced.

Why is that?? Wouldn't it be easier to just swap it out?

    It's a 2.4L, 2WD, manual trans, '95
