So, I catch myself realizing that my heater doesn't blow hot air. It only blows really nice warm air. Now, I don't have any leaks "that i know about" on my truck. I just really would like to get the opinions of others to see if your heater blows hot or just warm. Thanks in advance.

have you checked your radiator fluid lately? if low, that could be your culprit. that would be the first thing i'd do.

I had this same issue. Look underneath your hood for the heater control valve on the firewall. Has a little cable attached to what looks like a swing. When you turn your heater on, does it move? If so, then go under your dash on the passenger side and look for a black casing with an arm on the top. When you turn the temp control to hot/cold, it should move all the way. If it doesn't then it might have something jamming it. Or just give it a shove. I had a thread on this problem.

Toyota Tacoma's HVAC is the best I have seen. The heat comes on very hot after about 10 min. and the A/C blows so cold it will make your hands numb if it is blowing on them. Check coolant level and the heater control valve if your not getting good heat.

often you get air trapped in the hose and the heater core is half full of air so you don't get much heat. if everything else checks out ok then add a radiator flush kit so you can bleed the air out of the hose up high at the firewall. its the one without the valve attached that is the one you bleed air from.

Thanks for all your info guys. I really appreciate it... It really sucks when the wind outside cuts you down and you have to wait at least 5-10 miles to get 60* heat.... lol
