well i just got back from Toyota dealer and they said that my truck failed the inspection. Well this sucks because i just bought this truck like 3 months ago... But now i wonder what they would offer either a new frame or buy it back. My taco is a reg cab 5sp 4x4 4cyl with 210K miles. It runs perfect! How much would they back it back for? Would $6000 sound right? Now im just looking for a another taco for $6000 and im not finding much...It might be time to look at diff makes of truck..:(

They should offer back 1.5x KBB... but I could be mistaken.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It's probably going to be less than $6500. I just did a basic value (not knowing what options you have) and came back with $4320.

What year is your truck? If it's 01 or newer you don't get a choice.

I made out BIG TIME on my 2000 buy back. They will call you in a few days with an offer. Plus, I was able to remove and keep averything I wanted. As long as you can roll it onto a flat bed truck, your good. Good luck.

well toyota wanted to look at the frame again because the toyota rep said the frame wasnt bad enough. So they looked at it again and said it was real close but not close enough. Told me to come back in 6 months and drive in lots of puddles and mud. Oh well i still love my truck.

My 2000 was close in 2008 had only 52000 miles on it. Had it looked at in spring 2008 and everyday after work i came home and sprayed it with rock salt, table salt, vinegar and water into the frame holes. Took til fall and it was bad and ready . Buy it took some time back then to get it though them inspecting it and making an offer and getting money . I bought my 09 in the beginning of 09 . I got $17500 for my old truck.

And to the guy that only had it 3 months if i remember didnt you have to own the truck for so long to have them buy it back ?
