8p4 was printed on a label on the spray can, which is the same code for indigo ink on the door jamb.

I like the black, will do that on my white 05. Black radiates heat, won't physically help cool a radiator, but looks like it could and will mark mine apart from all the other white Tacos in this hot part of California.

Would we follow the same steps for a non-chrome grille?

Do you guys have any suggestions on what color primer I should get when I do this to my Radiant Red grille? I 'think' the primer is a medium grey from factory.. not sure though

I'm certainly no professional painter, but I would say that unless you're going w/ a light color (white, silver), you'd be better suited to use the gray/black primer. As you can see, thats what I went w/ on mine. I figured coverage would be easier and blemishes less noticeable than if I had used the white primer.

I am going a base model grillie Desert Sand Mica. I bought Krylon White for Plastic. It doesn't need sanding or primer. I am wondering now if I should have gotten a colour that is a close match to DSM, or have gotten black. Thoughts?

Just did my color match as well! I had to go to the local paint store, they scanned my hood in a few areas, and blended the 3 scans to make sure it was a perfect match. I then clear coated it, and it looks great IMO. Here is a pic of the final product. FYI Bully Dog Adhesion Promotor help the paint stick to the chrome.
