Hi there- The towing light plug in got ripped off the bracket on a water bar. Took it apart to realize it was a whole wiring harness with a plug that cost from Toyota $250 to replace. I bought a new seven way adapter to replace it hoping not to have to cut wires not realizing the one on the truck was a whole harness. Is there an aftermarket one. Also, if I cut the wires will it foul up or short anything else. Or does anyone by chance have an extra toyota one they would be willing to part with. Thanks

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I had that thought as well to relocate it. Will give a shot. Thanks again

On my 2009 I ripped it off crossing a creek. I bought a new plug at Wally World for less than $20. I simply made a wire diagram, cut the wires and then put female spade connectors on them. It worked fine until I sold it. The aftermarket one did not hang down as far. Also I tried to keep the hitch ball mount in the receiver to protect it.
