Nothing on it .... FOR THE MOMENT
anyone have done this here ???

swap the 2 diff( both with e-locker ) from a 4 runner 2005 4x4 4.0L to a tacoma 4x4 4.0L 2007 rear diff is the 8.4'' but i will sell it , keeping the housing and install the 8'' with locker from the 4 runner and put the front too with the locker.

i've seen on east coast guear supply that the front diff is the same 8'' apparently fits on tacoma/fj/4runner

the biggest question .. will it work :O and will the lockers work

Your post is kind of hard to understand

4runner is coil sprung in the rear. If you are wanting to swap the entire rear axle assembly you will need to cut off the existing coil and link brackets and weld on leaf perches. If you are only wanting to swap the third into your existing housing that will not work. Assuming you have the SR5 (as it says in your profile) with the 8.4" rear axle the 8" e-locker rear will not bolt into this housing.

If you are installing into a truck without e-locker you will need all of the electronics to go with the locker in order to make it functional.

Yes difficult to understand but to the best of my knowledge, in the states, the 4runner never came with an e-locker in the front. The rest of what you seem to be talking about would be difficult at best and very impractical if even possible. Why not find an e-locker out of a junk Taco and install it in the rear? I do not think that Toyota ever offered an e-locker for the front of any of their vehicles.

No e locker from any vehicle will fit into your existing axle, without so serious mods to the axle housing. After that drama you will have a unreliable axle.

    Eastcoastgearsupply.com
    Arb air locker and compressor.

    Easy day.
